About This Game
Levels
You will find yourself in the monotonous yellow rooms of level zero, swim in deep pools in Poolrooms and walk around the overgrown office at level 150. As a rule, the levels are a fairly large maze. You should be very careful to figure out how to get out of here and be careful enough not to disturb the local inhabitants.Entities
In one of the many inconspicuous rooms, you can suddenly hear strange sounds, the monotonous hiss of an old broken TV, and then the loud trampling of someone's huge feet. If you find yourself in such a situation, you are most likely the end.Weapons and Items
To survive in the Backrooms, you will need to look for weapons, essentials and dispose of them correctly. A pistol and a few rounds of ammunition can help you survive a collision with the entity, and food, water and medicine will restore your strength. Of course, resources will always be in short supply here. Put everything you can find in your backpack!Gameplay Features
- You have to explore three big confusing levels
- Entities can meet in the most unpredictable places
- Find weapons and other useful items. This will help you survive
- Detailed menu of graphics settings, management and saving progress
- Recognizable atmosphere of Liminal Spaces

Fun game to play, bit short but it has potential for more.
EMPTY
The game has a great potential for a 1.29$ i didn't played this game much cause it's killing my brain why? ( check below ) 1. I don't know what should i do, just to simply run in 'circles' cause i have no idea where i should go or atleast to do something 2. It would be grate to have a " OBJECT " or a task or something to tell you what to do, like somewhere to tell you, do that, or turn all the electric switches on and kill the monster and escape from there. 3. The inventory sucks, like you can't drop items, i tried so hard to drop a water bottle but i couldn't , no matter what i tried it was impossible to drop it, or a pill anything.. 4. For a 1$ game indeed you can't except something WOW, but this game ( again ) has the 'potential' to be a great game under 5$ 6. what i hate about this game and i don't know why, it's that the character he's way to small like 5'1, at the beginning of the game where you are in the house, when you go to the bathroom, in every game the character he's at...
Its barely playable on steam deck. Needs some tweaking.
I can see why this game has controversial opinions already and the key is time played. At first this game is frustrating because there is no tutorial for game mechanics or introduction into the tools you have available. You're basically flying by the seat of your pants. However once you discover certain things like you can pause and save at any time or your health has a max of 200 so you can use healing items right away, your gameplay will likely benefit. Overall as a game, it doesn't have a storyline that I can tell as of yet (I'm near the end). The graphics are decent and the play areas are extensive but not changing. So even if you die, you can plan better for your next load with a better understanding of the map. There is no music which makes both the gameplay bland but also eerie. Finally as a backrooms game, it's easily seen where inspiration is drawn from the backrooms wiki. The game overall leaves you in a constant state of moving forward to an unknowing goal which is the e...
It's interesting how people can have very different experiences from the same game. I've seen the negative reviews here, but I haven't had a similar experience to those folks at all. I've been on a Backrooms kick, and as of this review, own eleven Backrooms games. This one holds up to most, and for the cost, cannot be beat (I snagged it on sale on Steam for $0.39, 80% off of the usual $2 price-tag). The controls are fluid, the graphics are crisp and the atmosphere is as it should be for a Backrooms game. It isn't puzzle heavy (a plus for me), but there is plenty of searching and wandering while avoiding the entities that might be just around the corner (which is keeping largely in line with the Creepypasta source material). Find a key, unlock a drawer to find a VHS tape, find the VCR, and you're holding the solution to getting to the next level. Easier said than done. I appreciate that you can escape the entities; being seen and chased doesn't automatically lead to death. I also ...
I like this game..I truly do....but......the lag is a bit atrocious...and i'm not sure why? even tested this game on the lowest setting...but the lag is just crippling especially when being chased...such a same...I may test this game on a higher end gaming laptop..because the one i tried this game on is $699 + ...so I hope it performs better but...oh well,,, still like the game though..so if you have a potato PC it may not perform that well....
**Updated Oct. 15th, 2023** Forgot to change the recomendation. Sorry. **Updated Sept. 13th, 2023** Since the original review, the save issue has been fixed. I was unaware until today. So, to be fair (and because I wanted to finish this) I dove back in. Being able to PROPERLY load back in definitely helped me enjoy the game. As the title is now, Survival in the Backrooms was a fun experience little puzzle-esque experience. Nothing complex, but more observational like map one having a key in a trophy and map three's escape requirement not on the objective list when you tab. Map two is cryptic as hell too, which I never would have had the patience to solve so thanks to the guides section illustrating the solution. The Backrooms aspect does feel a bit tacked on with the other two maps feeling more just additional assets to bulk out the title, so if you go in expecting that you'll be largely let down. However, as a whole, at $1.99 (USD) for an hour long romp with a working save mechanic...
I bought this super cheap on discount, thinking it would be some crappy low budget thing, because I wanted to play a game set in one of those AI generated backrooms. But 15 minutes into it, the graphics are very decent, you can interact with a lot of objects, and the starting house looks ordinary but with a few unnerving things like old rusty washing machines (unless that's something American houses normally have). I like that there is a mirror cause games usually can't pull it off, except your reflection is whacked and I feel like they included it anyways cause it's so whacked it's a little scary. I'll keep you updated.
