About This Game

"Sodaman is infuriated, ever since Entity-X caused the Sodacalypse, making almost all of the sodas in the existence go flat, becoming bland and tasteless with the press of a button. Yet there are still some out there, untouched by this catastrophe and it is up to Sodaman himself to find them."

Rating: ★★★★ Great Time Played: 3 hours Gameplay: • Bullet-heaven/twin-stick roguelite where you mow down alien swarms and build a run around “soda” powers. • The core hook is mixing soda colours into a build (deckbuilding): stack one colour to super-scale a single effect or blend two for strong hybrids. Synergies pop when your weapon, soda perks, and augments line up. • Permanent meta unlocks (cybernetic augments, cards, weapons) drip-feed new options between runs; the spaceship hub keeps progression tidy. • Pace is snappy with short 20 minute stages that escalate fast, frequent power spikes, satisfying screen-clear moments once a build “clicks”. Story\Dialogue: • Light, tongue-in-cheek framing of a “sodapocalypse” that sets tone without getting in the way. • Characters and hub chatter add flavour between runs. It’s incidental, not narrative-driven. • Humour lands if you like playful, slightly absurd quips; otherwise e...

Aiming using the right controller stick does not appear to work correctly even if the controller settings are selected.

This game is really fun so far! Basically Death Must Die without the loot drops, but that's a really solid formula to build on. I especially love the funny creative names of the sodas (Deez Shots is pretty awesome, EWGF is another banger). I will say, the difficult/balancing needs some calibration. I can easily clear Chaos 100 with the final boss dying in under a second and getting 5 level-ups during its death animation cutscene, and there are some absolutely busted options (for example, getting over 100 armor just makes you flat out invincible). Also, I find the AI voices pretty jarring, and honestly would prefer just no voiceover instead. Looking forward to some new biomes and objectives. Overall, great addition to the Vampire Survivors inspired genre of "bullet heaven" games, and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes!

This is a nice twist on a classic vampire survivors game. Much like other games in the series, your frame rate will die a slow death the closer to 15 minutes you get, and the audio gets absolutely destroyed after a while. It's fun, fair, and fast-paced. I expect it will be better optimized the closer to full release it gets, so I'm hopeful. Oh, and there's voice acting! Check that out! It's a nice touch. B+
