Luxor: Amun Rising HD

More of the same enjoyable gameplay as the first Luxor game, except there's now a Scorpion powerup. [h1]WARNING![/h1] Because MumboJumbo could not be bothered to patch the following two bugs out of the Steam version of this game: [list] [*]Stage 9 in Adventure mode ends prematurely (One of the levels is misread as another from the previous Luxor HD game) [*]The path in the Anubis Aegyptus map is not optimised for widescreen (You can directly see how the spheres come in) [/list] I strongly suggest downloading QuickBMS and the MumboJumbo.bms script, and then extracting the data.mjz file before patching the bugs out. After extraction, you should find where the two bugs are located: [olist] [*]For Stage 9 to play properly, jump into the directory: Luxor Amun Rising HD\data\levels\adventure_luxor_ar There, you will find "level_9_4.lvl". Make an edit through Notepad or whatever. replace "imhotepsfolly" with "crossingthereedsea" and voila! The stage should now play properly! [*]To optimi...

You're better off purchasing the original Amun Rising first. This remaster isn't as good as Luxor HD/Luxor 2 HD and if you're looking to purchase an HD Luxor game, I highly suggest you get either of those instead. The level graphics are lackluster compared to the other two. A part of the game also doesn't work as intended, and require manual fixes of modifying the game's files to play it the way we were meant to. However, despite said issue, the game is still working and playable. Still, I say your money is worth more to be spent on the other, not-broken Luxor HD games. Only get this if it's on sale, if you're collecting (at least save this for last if you're buying them one by one), or if you're willing to play a more challenging but broken version of the original Amun Rising. A certain level lacked balancing and the developers could not care enough to fix said level to make it fair for less-skilled players.

One of my favorite casual games series. Recommended if you like this genre.

Improves dexterity and keeps gray cells sharp. Important for an 86 year old lady.

Challenge of Horus, stage 5-4 is totally unplayable. The map is insane. Player hardly has any control over the balls near the end of the track. Not a wise design.

Definitely my favourite Luxor game next to Quest for the Afterlife. The levels are so goated and OG whilst the soundtrack is absolutely one of the best.

This game is very good. But may be a littie challenging compare to original Luxor HD. But I had fun with this game and with casual too. I did had a small problem with Stage 9-4... but I got it fixed and played those properly. :) You should try those out too. but if you want to play stage 9 properly, be sure to get those fix before you can start your journey there. :)
