Resident Evil 5 is a bold pivot a game caught between the suffocating horror of its past and the blockbuster action of its future. It sacrifices some of the series’ creeping dread for relentless momentum, but in doing so, it creates a unique hybrid: a survival‑action game where trust, coordination, and resource management are as important as aim and reflex. It’s not flawless the AI partner can frustrate, pacing dips in the final act, and purists may mourn the loss of isolation. But when played in co-op, it delivers unforgettable set‑pieces, a constant push‑pull of vulnerability and empowerment, and a visual identity that still stands apart in the franchise. Whether you see it as the series’ turning point or its great divergence, Resident Evil 5 remains a chapter worth revisiting not just for what it is, but for what it dared to be.

this was the first resident evil game ive played back when it came out or I think a year after that, But I was to young for the other ones when they came out so i only got to watch my older bro and my older cousins play re4 and the others back in the day and that sh*t scared me hella back then because i was young of course, but when I got older I played re4/etc when I had the chance to but this was my first RE and i can't believe its been years and still no remake on this one cause of the dumb allegations for being a racist game like sybau. bro I'm black and seriously seeing that apparently being a problem is crazy cause i guess re4 and re6 are not racist even tho re4 takes place in Spain and re6 takes place in china/etc like just cut the bull bro its a biohazard we ain't killing innocent people and also its a f**king game🤣 But get this game its to good and show sheva love its not her fault that her AI is trash🤣 I mean I don't get that problem anyway cause I normally main her w...
absolutely some of the worst boss fight designs i've ever seen in a game. pick it up on sale with a friend, it's a janky mess and i wouldn't want it any other way
Nowhere near as memorable and captivating as RE2 & 4 imo, but that doesn't mean the game isn't good. Although the game shows its age in terms of graphics, it is VERY well optimized for a game this old, and controls are similar to modern games (notwithstanding some outdated mechanics, such as inability to move while reloading). One of the boss fights is bugged and stalls progression, had to look up a guide to figure out how to move forward. Overall, the story dragged on somewhat, but lore-wise, the game connected to preceding installments well, and it was still very fun to play with my friend. 7/10
This might be the worst game i've ever played, 1. It has a shitty partner system with what i think is the worst AI ever made 2. the areas are also so fucking boring 3. Some enemies are so over tuned with some just having insta kill attacks Do yourself a favour and don't play this
Coop desync is common, and there are two stages where disconnects will happen no matter what you do. One hit deaths are a thing.. don't ask why because I don't know either. The game is good otherwise but these issues disrupt the whole experience enough to make it more of an annoyance than a fun experience.
This game has problems but its so fun!!! Overhated game I had an amazing experience playing this wit a shawty They need to remake this fr!!!
Really hasn't aged well. Namely the controls and inventory mechanics. Both a step back from RE4. It has a very arcade feel to it. I liked it back in the day; but now I can't play more than 2 hours before uninstalling it. RE4 Remakes makes this game's flaws even worse. If you're a RE fan, sure play it.
I really enjoyed this game, not one of my favorites or anything, but certainly fun, I'm definitely gonna play this with my friend at some point with co-op, saw a lot of people complain about the controls and AI making the game borderline unplayable and I personally had no issues with that Now the story is just ok, I don't hate it but I also don't love it, it's just fine, the only problem I have is Jill's character, RE story writers have this habit of turning her into a badass and that's just not who she is, stop doing this
Resident Evil 5 continues the formula set by Resident Evil 4 (2005) but includes more action and less spookyness, also a bit more quicktime events, which I personally hate. The big addition they did with this is that you can play the campaign in both online and offline Co-op, which is fun if you play with a friend. It also features other online gamemodes that I personally didn't play because i couldn't find any matches. A good thing this game has that i haven't seen fully in other titles, is that you can replay the game by Chapters instead of the whole thing, and you can save your inventory anytime you exit, which is useful for farming money to upgrade weapons and get more items like herbs and ammo. The story itself is actually pretty good because this is basically the conclusion of the Wesker saga set in the first RE. This is a revenge story of Chris Redfield against Albert Wesker, and it also explores the origins of all the T-Virus shenanigans, which is good for the overall lore. ...
