About This Game

Nuclear Option is a combat flight game set on a dynamic and realistic battlefield of the near future. Use an array of advanced weapons to change the course of battles as you intercept bombers, duel fighters, fly under the radar, or unleash the fury of nuclear weapons on enemy formations.

Each aircraft comes with an immersive cockpit featuring a situational awareness HUD, identifying nearby targets and threats. Aircraft can be flown with various controllers or with a mouse-controlled "virtual joystick", requiring no special hardware.

Experience realistic flight dynamics, with stalls, spins and g-force effects fully implemented, as each aircraft is composed of up to 50 individually simulated physics parts . A highly detailed damage model means that the condition of each part affects the way your aircraft flies.

Build your own missions using the included mission editor, and then fly your mission solo or with friends in PVP or PVE multiplayer combat.

Really good game for the money. It sits somewhere between a hardcore flight sim and an arcade flight game.

Easy to pick up, difficult to master, but tons of fun at all times.

Extremely good middle-ground sim-lite, more realistic than Ace Combat or Project Wingman without requiring the attention and study of DCS. Doesn't need VR unlike VTOL VR, and isn't war thunder. overall, exceptionally good and only getting better

The developers of nuclear option seem to have sold their souls to make this game work. 2gb installation size, yet it looks better than some games with 60+ gig installs. Frequent major content updates, even minor updates for this game add changes that would take most other studios years. Performance and damage models better than 90% of similar games, this game can run on just about any piece of hardware from the last decade.

Way easier to learn than DCS but still offers a ton of fun! It's like if Ace Combat and DCS had a baby, but with all the good genes, and none of the bad.

When you want to play DCS, but don't want to spend 30 minutes starting up and getting to battle. Fantastic game play and not a single crash. Graphics are nice and dog fighting does not require squinting or doing things in settings to see.

Amazing game. Why? Nuclear Option Feels Great!! A Near-Future Flight Sim With Jaw-Dropping Scope containing options that plunge you into dynamic battlefields of tomorrow, letting you pilot diverse aircraft—from agile fighters to lumbering bombers—and unleash tactical nukes on enemy formations for truly cinematic moments. Every plane boasts a fully simulated cockpit, up to 50 physics-driven parts, and a situational-awareness HUD that keeps you keyed in on threats and mission objectives. Whether you’re intercepting bombers, duelling in fur balls, or carving away at armoured convoys, the game’s core mechanics strike a rare balance between accessibility and depth. While still being in Alpha, it has great potential and growth behind it. I can envision many DLC's and new maps to come. Throw us a few for free please. ) Now what would truly bring this game in line and garnish further sales would be a VR feature for those of us with headsets. Once you play a flight sim in VR, i...

A perfect mix of sim and arcade with a fairly shallow initial learning curve. Once you get the basics down there are plenty of more complex systems to play around with.

If Ace Combat and DCS had a baby this would be it. Best warplane sim available without having to read a manual.
