It's relatively fun but to be completely honest not being able to use WASD to move is completely stupid. If it aint broke don't fix it. Should just be WASD to move, mouse to attack, simple and straightforward but no you have to use arrow keys only or only the mouse and your character just hops around relatively aimlessly swinging nonstop so you can very rarely ever time anything perfectly. Literally just nonstop lunge jumping while swinging a sword around as the enemy walk just slow enough to be out of reach so you get hit

Interesting game I think it has great potential. Hopefully the Dev can get rid of these weird movement system. Once thats sorted this will be really good definitely worth checking out. UPDATED REVIEW AFTER 20 HOURS: After fleshing out most of the gameplay and unlocking stuff I can say without a doubt this is one of the more interesting roguelike survivors, A couple builds are completely broken but i expect that to be fixed with coming updates. - Movement is very strange but once you get the hang of it, it is very rewarding. - Ranged enemies are a bit OP very deceptive speed on their projectiles. - Without using the broken builds the challenges are incredibly difficult so good job on that. - There is a very healthy balance of variety at the moment among the weapon choices, some naturally are much more viable than others how ever the game does not feel so restricting that you have to use one weapon type to progress. Randomly made it to wave 40 with a new level 1 melee. Bought this...

I'm afraid I'm becoming a fan of this developer. I loved his Blast Waves game on mobile and, after trying Ultra Blade, I will get Immortal Rogue and probably any other piece of software Barrett puts his hands on. I don't know if it is intended, but one of the things I'm loving more about this title is its atmosphere. It reminds me of an obscure indie title from 10 years ago called God of Blades. That game, like the film Mandy and this title takes me back to Moorcock's stories and to 70's prog rock music and imagery. There was a time when the human being was so creative that it settled the very foundations of fantasy. Sadly, not anymore, but we still have these little independent games, films, pictures, and music. Of course, this game is EA and you can tell. There are still some problems with UI and mouse controls, but according to Barrett's previous work, I'm betting this will be fixed tomorrow and this game will become perfect in less than one month.

What an incredible and weird little game. Definitely one of the most unique survivorslikes out there. There is a TON of content. Way more than it seems at first. The basic gist of the game is that you must move to attack, and that stopping movement will cause you to use your heavy attack (assuming you have one.) This plays out differently for different weapon types, of which there are six(?) basic groups: Swords, guns, staves, shields, lances, and bows. Each weapon within a given class shares the same basic traits (e.g. swords give you a slash attack, guns make you shoot a bullet, etc....) but with a unique twist. For example, one sword might launch projectiles while using the walking-slash attack, while another might attack in a full 360 around your character, and another might give you a damaging aura around you. The end result is that the weapons actually feel surprisingly different even when they have the same basic function. By the way, there are a TON of weapons to unlock. Mos...

I originally played the mobile game, then decided that I needed to play the pc version due to the controls being a bit difficult to handle. I'll be blunt, the game is amazing. The artwork is wonderful, the difficulty is insanely high, the grind is non-existent and each run feels like you accomplished something. The weapons are balanced, no build feels too overtuned, the enemy variety not just between levels but in a single stage is astonishingly high from a one man indie dev team, and while I haven't had the oppurtunity to try the challenge modes, it looks like its going to be fun! I Don't usually leave reviews, you can probably tell from my spelling, but when I checked the reviews I saw a few from people who played .2 hours, called it trash and claimed the reviews were paid for. So, here I am giving it my rating. By the way, does this game have a discord server? I checked the website and couldn't find one.

Menu navigation really needs some love, controller support is good for the gameplay but TERRIBLE on navigating the game. Cursor mouse as the left stick is slow AF and i just use my mouse instead which defeats the purpose, especially since i don't know how updating the drag speed would affect my cursor movement and i'm just getting used to this so I'm not messing with that for the moment. Try it for free on mobile if this looks like the type of game you'd like, but I've invested my money in order to show the dev some love and to see how deep this rabbit hole will go. Pros: time-sink/enjoyable. can't wait to build more random blade units to protect the kingdom (i really am not following this game for it's lore) Cons: bad menu design, needs better UI with controller/in general.

No, the character moves only by hitting and he does not go far to say the least. Refund.
