It could have been a cosy game but it was quite frustrating for me. I think this game tries to do two things that are not compatible, or at least not like that. That is fighting and having a heartwarming experience. I don’t really understand what is the public that the game aims for. Being a casual player that like cosy games I am not good at fighting using combos against monsters that follow me. 3 different combos for different effets, one being healing. What if I want to heal without having to fight 2 monsters at the same time? I can’t use the decor for that unless I go back to where I started. I don’t even know if there is other ways to heal because I die too quickly. Why do I die so soon? Because on the steamdeck the buttons are too tricky. I changed them a little to add the button Q which triggers a combo, but I am having difficulties to use the buttons AND the mouse (even if I put it on the joystick). For example I placed my hero but the monster comes at me and then I us...

My Experience I picked up Keep Me Posted in the hopes that it would provide a cozy experience like A Short Hike or last year's Smushi Come Home. Although these games lacked particularly intense combat, they provided rich and interesting worlds to explore. The combat in Keep Me Posted is more intense than most of what you're doing in either of the aforementioned games, with success involving the creation of mailsack combos and the Postmaster (your protagonist) having to deal with ranged enemies that often begin hitting you from off-screen. I found the combat to be a bit tedious, which was not something I was looking for in this type of game - a game that the developers themselves describe as "cozy" multiple times in the description. Although the stories that the Postmaster becomes involved in seem to be somewhat compelling, I wasn't motivated enough to push through the combat and see them to their conclusion. It felt repetitive to take the same ro...
This game is about an hour long and it's pretty fun. the story was nice, i was pretty interested in our lil eldritch buddy and the world had a lot of interesting potential but i would have loved if it was fleshed out more The main character talking is so so so good i love his lil noises. Adorble It's kinda bare bones and I can't tell if i just missed tonnes (if so, i have no idea how to find the extra content) or if i did play it to completion? There's a lot of houses on the map that I wasn't able to ever interact with because they didn't get any mail so it felt a little confusing. The gameplay loop was a bit samey too It can be buggy, there was a few times where the day would start and the world wouldn't load in so i'd have to reload my save lol The combat is incredibly minimal. There's tons of health and even the last boss doesn't do much damage so it feels incredibly low threat. Also, up until the last level you can walk past every enemy without bothering to engage so if you wa...
A relaxing game for people used to playing fps (I primarily play cod) and wanting to dip their toes in a casual/cozy genre.
