As far as American football sims go, DDS: 2023 is the best out there. I have paid for and played them all and this title represents the management and statistical aspects better than them all. I have been waiting for years for someone to come up with a fun, accurate, and playable football management sim and it has been a frustrating wait. Pro Strategy 2023 is okay, but I dislike the free agent system and the UI and graphics are a huge turnoff. Graphically, Axis Football 23 is the best as far as the management side goes, but they can't seem to fix the statistical accuracy problems (QB- 80% passing, 350 yards per game and RB- 150 yards per game) Front Office was okay, but the UI is clunky and the substitution system is terrible. I have been paying attention to Wolverine Studios for years and purchased a few of their early titles, but they always seem to have many issues with bugs that go unresolved. That, along with bad reviews kept me away from their football and basketball titles. A co...

This game is very much like OOTP except for the fact that the money system in this game is broken. Free Agency is a huge mess. There will be 100 OVR running backs that are getting paid 15 mil a year while all these young 85 OVR 26 year old running backs want 18 mil a year and won't take less. they end up going through the free agency bidding war untouched due to their unrealistic asking price. You can then sign them for $500,000 once the seasons starts . its a repeating process of having amazing free agents for $500,000 for 1 yr every season at every position due to nobody wanting to pay their asking price and then forced to play on your team for min free agent price once season starts.
Unplayably slow. Going to this from football manager or ootp will have you pulling your hair out. That issue is exacerbated by the frequent need to reload the bugged out page. I quit before getting far enough to comment on the player engine.
Solid AF. This is the closet I've found to an american football version of OOTP. It's not perfect, but its a giant leap in the right direction. If you like meticulous sports GM games, this one should quench your thirst. It doesn't have the Graphic spectate chops that you can get from Axis, but is definitely deeper on the management side. Give it a shot if you're on the fence.
Well I'm just starting, mainly playing sandbox mode and so far so good. We're 1 and 1 on our 1st season and I "just..." finished losing to the Washington Tanks 27 to 34. - I'll update this after a while but at least so far its held my attention the weekend and is kind of drawing me in further...
Not a fan. Can't get past preseason week 1. Gets stuck on loading screen unless I sim game by game. Very tedious. I don't recommend unless that gets fixed asap.
Buggy. League never completes sim games unless you go game by game. Simming dialog just sits there. Coupled with wonky resolutions, this doesn't rate as a game I want to make excuses for and waste time on. Was hoping this was a solid GM game, but will stick with the usual suspects.
Buggy mess Good concept, though.
Most improvements year-over-year are pretty marginal, but it's good to know that the developers are responsive and take user feedback into consideration. This is still the best football simulation game available right now.
game no work, game freeze at launch. very sad. get refund. thanks obama.
