I didn't mind the economy side of it but in terms of balance for combat really made the game unfun especially dealing with thieves, even with rangers there were just too many swarms of them and they would die before even making a dent in the thief packs. Overall, if they make some rebalances it could be better, but for now I wouldn't recommend it.

Procedural maps provide endless possibilities and a vast variety of game experiences. Choose your playstyle and create unique islands! Adjust the number of neutral factions, the structure of terrain types and the difficulty of enemies. If you prefer to fully focus on building a village with no enemies at all, simply generate a map without them!
Build up your village with your friends. Up to four players can play one faction together without limitations. Any team member may place buildings, paths, send commands or change settings at any time. Thanks to procedurally generated maps, the level of difficulty can be adapted to each player group and mood. Multiplayer games can be saved and continued by any player in your team. Enjoy exploring Pagonia together!
Defend your carefully constructed village from threatening enemies. If you get too close to their border, they will attack you! Plundering Bandits are crafty swordsmen and Scavs compete for your resources and territory! Mythical creatures such as werewolves and ghosts also lurk in the shadows. Send strong military units to defeat werewolves, otherwise they will bite your Pagonians and turn them into one of their own! With a powerful economy, you will be able to defeat the dangers that lie in wait for you.
Set out into the mysterious fog and expand your territory to find scattered tribes, new land, and hidden secrets of Pagonia! Your mission is to help neutral tribes by trading valuable resources, discovering mythical artifacts, and finding your lost people. You have reached your goal once you explored the whole island, defeated enemies, and united everyone who was lost.

If you want a relaxed experience, look for it in another game. Combat is random, enemies are obnoxious and infinite, and you can get stuck and literally lose the game and all hours you invested for small stupid details. If you are like me and do not like the "git gud" approach, there are better options, and it is a shame because the idea is great and there are interesting mechanics.
This game is good but requires settlement Ai attacks. Bandit camps and spectre sights are simply not good enough and after a while there fills no purpose to anything. Hopefully they will re look at this as I'm now done with this game for this reason. The game graphics could be clearer and at time the building all look pretty much the same zoomed out. please address these issues as this game till not last or grow. It also needs player against player online as well.
Its like biting into a cheese and ham sandwich only to discover the cheese is vegan and the ham is tofu coloured pink.
I love this game it instantly reactivated my passion for the Settlers games I played when I was 8 years old. This game achieves what Ubisoft never could with New Allies. I would love to have classic multiplayer functionality to be able to play against other players' villages like in the old days. But I can also recommend this game to anyone who isn't nostalgic about The Settlers. It has content for everybody. I also exclusively play this game on Linux, which works for me without issues and any crashes.
Last year, the game was good. I enjoyed playing all the scenarios and wished for more. Today, the game is broken badly. For the 1st scenario, it is completely a deadlock. The number of carriers is too small. They are capped at 10 minimum for delivery. There are no job changes for workers. There is no tool, no softwood beams on the boat. And guess what? In order to have softwood beams, I have to get a saw for workers in the saw mill. To get the saw, I have to build an entire chain for iron bar, which means 3 smiths, 3 smelters, 3 provisioners, 3 foragers, quarry miner, wood cutter, guard, builder... all of them reduce the number of carriers dramatically.I ended up at the smith 2/3 and the game was ended, no more carriers. I didn't even get to the tavern yet, due to the lack of softwood beams. Why is it so hard to process the tree trunk? This is the worst behavior I have ever met in any game. To saw a tree trunk, we need iron processing technology. It's so illogical. I trie...
Feels the spirit of the settlers series. Increasingly good, now with the start from scratch mode.
Not playable Workers trained are not REVERSIBLE
This is an excellent game! Love the game play and dynamics. While still under development, something that needs fixing: When playing a custom map, even with mining resources set on most common, there is a lack of Iron and Silver, so much so that the game goes into a stalemate, cant proceed without it, but also cant access it as the very very very little that is available would be in an enemy / bandit camp and the mediocre soldiers you can make cant defeat them
Its not a bad game. Just a very boring, micromanaging and tedious one. You want to have fun, you can but on their very ristricted terms. You want the settlers but with multiplayer? This is not it. Please do not even think about comparing it with settlers otherwise you will just be reminded how limiting the gameplay is. You want to Build a new house? 1. Build a Watchtower so that your area can be expanded 2. Wait like 20 minutes for your buildable area to expand 3. Ok now you can build (unless of course you want to build a few meters farther in that case repead step 1 and 2 x 15 times) For me a newcommer it took around 2 in game hours to be able build in the whole map. The best thing is that it does not even seem to be a reason for this "feature". Its just shackeling you, and telling you "have fun unshackelin for 2 hours". Thats not the gameplay one expects from the trailers and description. Why do i have to pave everything with my stone only to see that a part of the map exis...
