I played the original game in 2016. Absolutely loved it back then. Got my heart utterly shattered back then, too. The only difference with this remake is that I got my heart broken in HD instead. Still loved the story. Still made me cry. At the same scene, at the same action. Despite me already anticipating it. However, the last parts where they made us
use both control to help Naiee with the puzzles
hit so much harder, for some reason, and absolutely broke me this time. My rating? Still the same as the original one: 10/10.

Me and my actual elder brother played Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake together and of course I ended up playing the younger brother in the game too (felt kinda fitting). This was my very first playthrough, and honestly, it was a fun ride. We spread it out over two evenings, and it kept us hooked the whole time without feeling like a grind. The game design is super clever, the little side mini-games are fun, and it always gave us something engaging to do. But man… the ending. Oh the ending. I almost dropped my rating just because of that. I can’t spoil it, but wow, they really didn’t have to make it so tragic. It left me sitting there like “why??” Still, even with that gut-punch, the experience as a whole was memorable. If you want a chill but unique co-op game, this one’s worth it! just be ready for the feels at the end.

I really enjoyed this game and the story that unfolded while playing it. It took a little getting used to the controls but became easier with time. I definitely would recommend playing this game thoroughly and have each brother interact with everything. The detail of the scenes and the characters were wonderfully done. I would love to play more of these style of games.

Wow. What a beautiful little game. The story is a sad one but is beautifully written about dealing with loss. The gameplay is simplistic but fun. The only issues I had were that the camera movement is a little wonky and the game is too short. But otherwise the soundtrack, world design and art style are top notch. The remake was not needed. But if you don't have the original, then get this one. 8/10

Do I recommend this game ? Yes, but only when it's on sale. For two reasons really : it's short for one and if you play it solo (which I did) the controls are horrible, both for the characters AND the camera. Other than that the worlds are beautiful, the music is nice too, and despite the game being short it manages to make us care about the brothers. I would say it's a good game to relax BUT there's some heavy themes in this game, so please do keep that in mind! As for the ending ...
while I did care for the brothers I couldn't care less for their dad. So having to watch the big brother die while the father lives pissed me off a bit ngl. But also ... that poor kid ??? Had to watch his mom AND brother die in front him, talk about trauma.
