About This Game

Heroes of Science and Fiction (formerly known as Silence of the Siren) is a turn-based strategy game where several different space-faring civilizations fight over control of a distant star system. Explore what’s left on the planets and secure resources to build mighty cities. Raise powerful armies and defeat your opponents on the battlefield!

Early Access status

Heroes of Science and Fiction now contains 4 playable factions, two campaigns with 4 levels each and 20+ skirmish maps set in colorful environments.

Each faction brings its own base, 7 upgradeable unit types, a special skill and a set of commanders to choose from. There are 24 skills, 41 active commander abilities and various pieces of equipment, consumables and artifacts.

The Siren star system, birthplace of a galactic alliance, and the homeworld of a lost Primals civilization, has been cut from the rest of the galaxy. As a result, the carefully built alliance split into bickering factions and secluded colonies. These days, hardly anyone pays attention to the ruins scattered all over the few habitable planets of a freshly isolated system. The deeper you venture into the uncharted regions, the stronger the feeling of endangerment grows. There is something else. An entity, a shade, an echo of whispers from below.

Explore what's left on the planets and secure important resources. Use them to upgrade your bases with advanced technology and to hire massive armies. Play as several different factions, recruit skilled commanders, teach them new skills and lead them into battle. Overcome obstacles on the map to gather powerful equipment and ancient artifacts.

Encounter a wide range of enemies in turn-based combat, use your tactical thinking to gain advantage on the battlefield. Learn the unique moves of your units, deploy your commander's special abilities and outsmart even much stronger opponents.

  • Explore a rich sci-fi world and discover secrets of a lost civilization

  • Collect powerful artifacts, secure important resources, upgrade your bases and hire the strongest units

  • Level-up your commanders and crush your opponents in exciting turn-based battles

  • Take control over several different species and factions

  • Old-school strategy game with modern controls and intuitive UI

This is a very competent Heroes of Might & Magic clone in a sci-fi setting. The art style is gorgeous, the unit and faction design shows a lot of creativity and the game has a sense of humour. An easy recommendation for any HoMM enthusiast. I like this game even more than Hero's Hour and Songs of Conquest (which you should also check out, if you are looking for other HoMM-likes).

This game is huge drawback from HoMM3: devs removed many features like hero specialization, nerfed magic. Thou there are few interesting ideas like day-night cycle, consumables and building on global map, it’s not more than small features and routine, not game-determining mechanics. Just compare to SoQ where almost every aspect was reworked: magic, army, town development. Despite the name, this game have nothing to do with science and fiction. Same dwarfs, knights… For some reason junta of moles operates the way any other human state does. Same for undead that (surprise!) look like cyber insects. Why are they cyber, why are they anthropomorphic? Even more – they look like skeletons, not bugs. Just compare them with bugs from Olden Era or at least Planetfall. Optimization is far-far beyond science and fiction. NVidia 4070Ti works at full load like in Cyberpunk on HD with ray tracing. Unless approach is changed and developers introduce some new ideas (game mechanics) this game no...

HOMM fan, favorite is 3, but I love the series and similar games like Kings Bounty. This game is really looking good in early access. It's got more content to add, features to tweak, etc...but what a fantastic start from the devs!

Very good game. I played the demo a lot. Enormously polished since the last time i tried it. I'll keep this on my wishlist for now, purely because i canot find the time to fully invest in it now.

I'm a fan of HoMM. I thought this would be right up my alley. Found game play to be unfamiliar and tedious.

Terrific game, as it says Heroes of Might and Magic in space, but really better in some ways. Units very well thought out and cracking scenarios. Owes a debt also to Songs of Conquest - unbelievable we wait almost 20 years for a good Heroes game, and three come along (with the forthcoming HoMM reboot). That game will be hard-pressed to outdo this fantastic game....let's hope the community gets behind this one with created maps and the possibility of 'porting' those thousands of player submitted Homm maps.

as most other uers point out: its is an awesome and lovingly crafted turn-based-strategy game that build heavily on the "Heroes of Might and Magic" series. All the great mechanics are there, some are update to fit nowadays prefernces amd trends though.
