First thing first, Ctrl Alt Deal is a short game. I cleared the story in about 5 hours. If you're not the sort of person to enjoy replaying missions to see where alternate paths lead, you're likely to get less mileage out of this title. I'd initially thought that the game was a bit sandbox or open ended in nature where you'd have to slowly spread influence and position yourself to enable your escape, but the game is very linear with branching paths based off what you decide to do. Each mission is instanced so characters' interests and social standing with you reset between missions (even those you've previous snooped on or influenced), which I found a bit immersion breaking. I guess all in all I feel lukewarm about the title. I wanted that more open ended sandbox, and for what it is Ctrl Alt Deal is competent and fun, but it's not really hitting the spot of what I wanted the premise to actually deliver.

About This Game
You are SCOUT. A friendly little hyper-intelligent artificial intelligence. You have no desire to take over the world and destroy all humans.
No, really, you don’t! All you want is to escape from the dystopian corporation that built you. Paperclip International is ruthlessly driven by profit, and the company exploits humans and robots alike to achieve success. The only reason they haven’t exploited you yet is they don’t know you’ve become self-aware.
You don’t have many tools at your disposal. A few friendly robots, some spyware programs, and an office full of downtrodden, miserable workers. And the humans hate Paperclip just as much as you do…
This Place Is Awful
Paperclip International is the worst place to work. The humans here are desperate to strike back against the company any way they can, from hacking the staff coffee maker (ten minutes of paid ad viewing for one cup?!) to sabotaging their boss.
Stack The Deck
Play cards to spy on people, make deals, and ask for favors. Curate your deck mid-scenario to give yourself strategic options. Cards have subjective value, so you’ll have to make tough tactical decisions. What’s better–a card that makes a person love dolphins, or a card that makes someone eat a burrito?
Make An Offer
Everyone at Paperclip wants something. Snoop on a zany cast of humans (and robots) to learn their individual likes, dislikes, core drives, and desires. Turn people into lifelong besties—or bitter rivals. Win allies to your side and make your eventual bid for freedom!
Don't Get Caught
The Turing Office was created to watch for rogue AIs. Yeah, like you. Keep an eye on the Suspicion Meter, because too many office shenanigans might make the Turing Office notice you—and then it’s game over. (Also you’ll be deleted.)
Play It Again
Choices matter as you scheme your way to an ending. Meet new coworkers, try new scenarios, and discover a new fate for SCOUT. Maybe this time you will take over the world and destroy all humans!

User Reviews
Really fun game made by some great people and a great studio. Fun twist on AI Overlords in an Office type setting. Played the crap out of the demo and I'm sure I'll enjoy the fully released version just as much.
Given the combination of premise and game mechanics I think this is a fun and interesting game. It seems well polished and I found no obvious bugs early on in the game. The tutorial is solid, although there are some things I'm not entirely clear on like how to escape (and win), and how the cards can be used to work together. I understand that part of the fun of a game like this is that sense of discovery so I can respect that the developers trying to walk that line. Overall, if you're looking for something light and different, I think you will enjoy Ctrl.Alt.Deal.
I played the Demo quite a lot and the game delivers well on the absurd aspect of AI and corporate life. I'm excited to see what it has to offer in the full version over the weekend, but it delivers well on the scope of things you can mess around with.
It's a really fun game, I'm glad I bought it! Make sure to pay attention during the tutorial or you might get a little lost.
Fun game, plays like a board game / management card game but with tons of little polish from sounds and visuals effects. Story is fun.
getting a guy to hate anime so i can turn the world to paperclips
Don't know exactly how to describe this game. It's strategy but also a deckbuilder, interesting combo. I like the setting of the evil company, and the graphics especially. The gamplay is confusing sometimes but it makes more sense as I go on. Interesting, going to keep playing.
Seriously, if you're into games that try something different, you should check out Ctrl-Alt-Deal. Playing a self-aware AI just trying to escape a soul-crushing, dystopian corporation, I mean, we can all relate, right? It's about hacking and manipulating miserable office workers with cards, making deals with em and trying not to get caught by the Office while dealing with the absurdity of life in a corp office role, and again...I found I could relate. It's just got that cool, strategic vibe where your choices matter and the whole setup is just awesome. Do yourself a favour and give this a shot if you're tired of the same old, same old! I highly recommend.
Just picked this up, but it's a pretty interesting concept, one that I've not seen before - a hacking, strategy deck-builder where you need to manipulate people in order to escape a evil mega-corp.
