To fans of Stardew Valley: you are going to LOVE this game. Not because it's identical, but because playing this feels like playing Stardew for the first time. If you're tired of every other copy-paste farming sim, this is the game for you! I will list some pros and cons, but I'm honestly hard-pressed to find anything wrong with it. It has a LOT of quality of life changes that most of us have been dying for while playing other games. Fields of Mistria is undoubtedly a labor of love that is truly inspiring. These comments may contain gameplay (not story) spoilers. PROS (From broad to specific) -The town of Mistria is a utopia. If you like games with tension and conflict, this isn't the game for you. The townspeople are incredibly kind, there is no Big Bad (that I have seen so far), you are just there to help and live your life. I'm putting this with the positives, because I came to this game looking for a peaceful and cozy experience that still challenged me a bit, and that's exactly...

obviously could use improvements as of right now but the art style, characters, and little things that make the game feel so cozy are worth going through waiting for updates :D as a stardew lover I find this game more chill and I love it dearly

As someone who has never tapped into the farming sim market, this was a fantastic first impression of the genre. The gameplay is addicting and the difficulty level isn't too frustrating or too easy. I'm impressed with the variety of npcs and their daytime cycles that are slow to becoming stale. Their dialogue is vast. The pixel art is easy on the eyes and vibrant, which is hard to come by. The glaring issue of this game is that there is less substance to the characters than I would have liked. While they have their quirks, daytime schedules, likes, dislikes and taste, over three fourths of the roster is nearly devoid of conflict or in depth character writing. March is among the cast that is written with ample conflict and a false belief (“I don’t need anyone”) that makes him feel human while characters like Hayden have next to no depth to explore. Having characters like March where a disproportionate amount of effort has been poured into one or two characters creates a glaring i...

This is warning to anyone planning on purchasing this game The SECOND you see a moth in the caves, catch it I spent 4 hours going through the mines trying to catch one as you'll need it for a quest Other than that the game is amazing especially if you like Stardew Valley

This is a lovely game. The controls feel smooth. The game world and its people feel alive, the music is calming and makes me happy. I am obsessed with this game. One gripe I have is that you can't split stacks. PLEASE make it possible to split stacks soon!
I think this game is a lot better than Stardew Valley..
I keep forgetting this game is in early access because it feels so polished. The game play is fun, relaxing, and engaging; the characters are charming; the story is interesting; and the art style is very appealing. I even deeply enjoy the combat in the mines much more than I thought I would. If this is what the game is like while in early access, then I can't wait to see what the full release is like.

With over 100 hours played, I totally recommend this game. I recently started playing cozy games, but was too intimidated to start Stardew and other similar titles. I'm glad I started with this one. The music, the art, the customization, romance options, and attentive devs make this a worthwhile investment. I can't believe it's early access.
