About This Game

Listed among the "Top 100 PC Games Of All Time" by PC GAMER (2012), Divine Divinity is an epic role-playing game with hack-and-slash action, offering a huge world to explore and thousands of items to investigate, trade and use.

The game chronicles the never-ending battle between valiant heroes and the destructive powers of Chaos harnessed by the Black Ring, a cult of enduring evil. You play the role of the prophesised Chosen One who under the guidance of the wizard Zandalor must unite the seven races of Rivellon so that you may become the Divine One and stop the birth of the Lord of Chaos.

This new re-mastered version offers support for Windows 7 and higher resolutions.

Key Features:

  • An RPG of Epic Proportions

Experience an adventure that will last you over 100 hours, filled with tons of non-linear quests and offering an enormous world to explore!
  • Classless Character Development

You decide what kind of character you want to be! Start out as a warrior, wizard or survivor – each with his own unique ability – then freely choose between 96skills, regardless of your class.
  • Hack & Slash with a Twist

Fight dozens of different enemy types and obliterate them in visceral, fast-paced combat. Things getting a bit hectic for you? Then pause the game at will, and take your time to look over the battlefield - or drink that much needed health potion.
  • Interaction Galore

Discover the enormous amount of objects that can be investigated, traded, used and combined. Found some empty flasks and picked up some colourful mushrooms? Create potions! Obtained some vile-smelling poison? Daub it on your blade or arrow tips: your foes won't know what hit 'em!
  • Award-winning Soundtrack

Enjoy the dulcet melodies composed by Kirill Pokrovsky, the two-time winner of IGN’s "Outstanding Achievement in Music” award.

Excellent ARPG even by today's standards. Great storyline and dialogues, lovable characters, beautiful soundtrack, interesting side quests and truly addictive gameplay. The game has a good variety of enemies and lots of useful combat and non-combat skills that legitimately allow you to change your playstyle by combining them in different ways. Lockpicking, telekinesis, summoning spells, skills for using tons of different types of arrows or gaining an elemental damage for your weapon, placement of traps, enchantment and repair of the equipment, hiding in poorly lit areas. You name it. The open world doesn't feel dead. There are always some folks you meet on the road that you can trade with or talk to. As for the cons, there's mediocre english voice acting and old graphics (I like how the game looks, tho). And that's about it. Keep in mind that the game may be really challenging at times. It's crucial you always have some health/mana potions in your inventory and a spare weapon. I...

It's kind of a mixed bag. The voice acting is so bad, Divine Divinity could have been improved by not including it at all. Graphics are kind of samey but still detailed. I liked it for the freedom you could have and still be completable. I've done the INT/DEX run and Josephina is both at the first and second encounter just not beatable without cheesing the fight by cursing her at least 10 times so you could freeze her. Then I spammed elemental arrows. All enemies, including the last bosses are MUCH easier, compared to her. I don't get it. She constantly oneshotted me with 30 and 40 CON respectively, and that's on normal difficulty. I don't want to constantly look up meta guides just to not need to cheese certain fights, but I guess that is not given for a classic RPG such as this. Game is easiest by pumping STR and CON to 100, I guess. You'll have both elemental and spiritual damage available even when being the simplest of tank fighters. That's a good thing. You'll still have a ton ...

Be sure to change settings to software renderer otherwise you get weird boxes around animated objects. Lovely game. You can see how this evolved in the later games.

Amazing Game like Diablo 1 with more Lore. Discovered this gem 20 years later... Why cant companies make those games anymore and take 10 years to make one that either never comes out or comes out half baked? So simple and fun......

Rating: 1.5/5. I wanted to like this game. I just couldn't get there. Like watching someone about to walk into another person. Yeah, you could have made a little more effort, but meh. Eff them, ya know? That is this game. There are laughs to be had, and there are dungeons to be dungeon'ed, but it is not worth the effort. Too dated and all the retcons from the later sequels make this game entirely skippable.
