This is a fun game that runs great on the Steam Deck. Several hours of mindless fun killing pixel blobs and managing my pets (that you unlock). Highly recommend this game.

Adventure Mode
You'll be spawned into level one of the world and work your way up the tiers with more and more enemies to defeat as well as meeting new enemies. Dying in adventure mode will reset you back to level one in the world but you keep your Soulstones and player progression, you will re-enter the world stronger than previously and try to get further than before
Survival Mode
You'll spawn on an island where you will be surrounded by enemies. Each second you survive, the more difficult the game becomes. It's a great fun way to gather Soulstones. The survival island also expands the further you progress in adventure mode.
Hardcore Survival Mode
You'll have the same experience as Survival mode but with 10x the enemies, before you know it you're up against hundreds of enemies.
Lots Of Upgrades!
At the moment there are over 40 upgrades to choose from with more being added during early access. You can upgrade almost anything, for example you can upgrade Pixelmancer's movement speed, mana regen, fireball damage and its velocity. There are also beast companions in the game that you can upgrade, for example their max health, damage, movement speed, detection radius and revive speed.
Beast Companions
Pixie - Your first loyal companion that stays with you forever
Stadie - Favourite by the community, Stadie can take down enemies with range attacks
Honey - The world's cutest and best bear, Honey is your front line tank pulling enemies for you

Weapon Types
There are multiple weapons to unlock, each with unique abilities that changes your playstyle.
Tiers & Biomes
Currently the game has 2/5 tiers; Forest & Desert with more being added during early access
Dynamic Event System
This system provides random events that may occur in your adventure, some events can be bad or good, events can also stack
Soul Hunter
When you spawn into the world, you arrive with a summoning portal. Watch your back though as Soul Hunters are known to use summoning portals too
Soul Mastery
Defeating enemies will increase your Luckstone and with it you will increase your drop rate for Soulstones that can be used to upgrade your abilities

User Reviews
A seriously fun and addictive game! It has me completely hooked, I just want to play another run through to collect crystals in order to purchase upgrades! It also perfect for playing on the Steam Deck. Overall, in highly recommend Pixelmancer 👍
This game needs the middle option. It isn't a hard recommend nor is it not recommended. Price is great, it does a hook, has achievements and most importantly works on deck. Compared with other games like Vampire Survivors, Brotato, Boneraiser Minions, 20 Minutes to Dawn etc it is a bit behind their development cycles. With this being in Early Access this should improve down the road.
Super entertaining title! Addicting and just can't put it down. Looking forward to future updates and content to bring even more entertaining variety. :)
Best game on Steam. A must have in your library. The developer updates the game almost every month (maybe more)!
Fun playback loop. I really like the upgrade system. Only issue I have seen is the controller not activating the upgrade boxes, but a relaunch of the game fixed that. Very worth a few run throughs!
I can't stop playing! Somebody help me! This game is a simple roguelite where you're a necromancer progressing through levels as it gets harder. The progression is great and the extra pets that you have makes it unique. You can even unlock Stadie! Which I think is an homage to Stadia. The jump of difficulty every 10 levels is pretty high. The thing that I like the least is when I get to tier 2, I have to always wait for my mana to regenerate in case of the big yellow guy comes around, so I wait a lot. But that won't be an issue as soon as I level up more. I love the sense of progression during every run.
Fun little game that is perfect for when i'm watching something on TV that doesn't need my full attention! Don't take it to seriously and you will soon find yourself addicted to getting that little bit further than last time.
What a game! Love the aesthetics, music and general atmosphere of the game. And then the gameplay is just so fun! I need to plan what upgrades will work best for my playstyle and time my movements around the map to make my mana usage and speed more efficient. And I'm sure there'll be replayability either through speedrunning or going for different builds. My son loves it too. Singing along to the soundtrack as he plays. As we both have a copy, we can actually race each other through levels, and when coop comes out (very soon I hear) we'll be able to work together or grief each other :)
Game is fun and enjoyable. It's awesome that it gets updated so frequently to keep it feeling alive. Plus now there's a bear, enough said! A good challenge, and watch out for those dang pesky skulls early on!!!
