About This Game

Mining Odyssey is a dynamic platformer game in first person view.

Take your pickaxe and grappling gun and challenge 15 successive timed trials, in which you will have to gather a set list of ores in a hostile environment.

Explore, discover, memorize, die and retry. With each try, get closer to your goal and dive deeper in harder trials.

What? I just bought this game because it has no user review yet? Well yes this and also because I was playing Deep Rock Galactic and I really love mining in games. So how does Mining Odyssey play? Well to be honest it reminded me a little bit of the parkour mechanics in Dying Light 2. You need to jump and swing around in the levels and get enough ore in order to complete a map. Now the controls are really perfect and I enjoy them a lot. I would start a level and immediately search for ore near the start and mine them. I would then jump a little bit higher to find other ores. The combination of jump-boost and grappling hook is really cool and you can control yourself really good. Sometimes you need to do very precise jumps and the controls are so precise that you can do it. And you need to use the jump-boost and grappling hook at the right time in order to make a jump and not fly over your goal. Really really cool! I also like the graphics.
