I'm all in for a move towards mechanically more complex 3D bullet heaven titles. If you look at the gameplay on the page, it looks pretty impressive, with high octane movement, jumping, turrets and more to make the game rather intense. Unfortunately, that's not really how it actually plays. The controls are basically broken, with strafe not working for some reason. Hit detection is also hit and miss (pun intended), the menus are ugly and barely functional, and the general presentation is lacking too with tons of placeholder icons and text. Granted, the current version is 0.0.8 which is lightyears away from a 1.0 launch, but as a game already sold for money, Epic Survivors is way too borked to be recommended for now. BOTTOM LINE: ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE UNPLAYABLE GARBAGE. I think I got it on sale for $3.75 and I am going to REFUND. I almost never do that for games this cheap, because who cares...but this is so bad its offensive. It's not even in Early Access... THIS IS THE GAME. PERIOD. IT is a pile of absolute shit. I hope the developers feel bad. I hope their parents are ashamed of them and I hope their kids, if they have any, hate them and change their name as soon as they are old enough and leave and never come back or call ever again. BAD LAZY JANK. Menus are crap. Text is cut off. Sometimes controller works in the menu, sometimes not. Game controls are nonsense. Doesn't even tell you there is a jump action. But movement is plodding. NO DASH MOVE. Sometimes you die in two hits sometimes you take a dozen...no reason why....you can barely GET ONE SINGLE level up before you are dead. Sometimes you die and it immediately boots you to the main menu...weird.. Just so bad. Control...
maybe I'm missing somthing, but i cant even get to the point of leveling up. dieing is probably the easiest thing about this and not in a good way.
