TLDR; This game has an amazing concept that unfortunately isn't executed as well as it could be. unless you are a fan of very comfy games (even by farming sim standards), I would have a hard time recommending this one over other entries in the genre. As with most people here, I'm playing (and enjoying) this game mostly due to nostalgia. I honestly love the graphics, and i think the general concept is one of the better ones for its genre. I love the idea of living through a life and seeing all the changes, watching your kid actually grow up and seeing changes around town. that being said, i think something that mildly annoys me is that i see a lot of wasted potential in those concepts. This game feels heavily focused on the social aspect, yet there's a lot of repeated dialog and there is no friendship decay so there's hardly a reason to talk to villagers after you get them to high friendship. I'm still early in the game but talking to the villagers seems more like a chore than it do...

Loved the game when it first came out on the Gamecube back in the day. Still love it today. Only this time we've got better graphics and quality of life updates!

This game was my childhood. Had it for the Gamecube, my first system. Also the first time I ever played a game where my character died at the end. Took me a while to get over it, but hey, it really is "A Wonderful Life".

Great game, amazing QOL changes from the old one I played as a kid on gamecube. Can't recommend enough.

I played this when it came out originally and was instantly hooked. Was very excited when they announced a remake. If you're a veteran of the game or a newcomer you'll probably like this one.
