For me this is clearly one of those games that proves, there really should be an option to give a neutral rating. If this game were a basketball team, it would have barely scraped a win at 86:83, but as a spectator it felt like one of those matches you regret having spent money on to see it. In Mediterranea Inferno (a title I didn’t like from the very start) the story revolves around three friends who haven’t seen each other in years and want to reconnect after the pandemic by taking a summer trip together. The presentation is unusual, more like an artful stage play or an interactive novel where atmosphere and emotions take precedence over mechanics. The game’s creative and artistic look is almost the only reason I’m still giving it a thumbs up, but just barely, and only with the caveat: only during a sale.
