Dark Messiah of Might & Magic

Even though Dark Messiah of Might & Magic was released back in 2006, it still outshines many modern games in its genre. Its combat system and dynamic physics made me question the standards of action RPGs even today. While the story follows a mostly linear path, the inclusion of optional objectives adds just enough flexibility to keep things engaging. I went in with modest expectations, but the game delivered far more than I anticipated. In 2025, Dark Messiah stands as a bold and experimental title—one that dared to combine mechanics, immersion, and environmental design in ways that still feel fresh.

this is a small game by a renowned developer flexing their (mid) writing, remarkable gameplay and blatant sexism. so why didn't troy baker get the part?

This is a game where the main ludonarrative element is choosing which woman you want to end the game with. Truly the apex of interactive storytelling.

what a masterpiece i found by accident 10/10, game is fun, funny, nice story. completed the game in almost 9 hours there's a lot of hidden secrets in the game too.

Great game, genuinely heavily underrated. For a game that came out in 2006, it really is amazing. Story at the end was a little disappointing but the gameplay is great regardless.
