When I played Crysis 1, I complained about the story being all over the place: first fighting North Koreans, then suddenly aliens, felt like two different games glued together. Then came Crysis 2. No more narrative whiplash — but this time the aliens just ripped my soul apart directly. I started on the Post-Human Warrior difficulty, thinking it would be a fun little challenge. The CELL Soldiers? Absolute pushovers. Cloak, Stab, Repeat. New York quickly turned into my personal stealth playground. And then the Ceph showed up. Oh man. These guys are ten leagues above humans. For the first time I understood what it feels like to be a delivery boy for aliens — except the package is me getting shipped straight to the respawn screen. Especially that cursed Pinger, I hate it. You cloak? It sees right through you. You have energy? It drains it with one EMP blast. You hide behind cover? It lobs an energy bomb right at your ass until you crawl out. And of course, it's tanky — so damn ha...

Hans Zimmer & Lorne Balfe dropped some of the best video game OST with this one Going straight into this one after finishing the first one and it's just as much fun. They have upgraded the graphics with it being newer of course, a lot more story-focused with cutscenes, and a couple of twists that might catch you off-guard. While the gameplay, audio & its uniqueness are still its main elements, the upgrade in story was also a welcomed change. They also hit the jackpot with New York, such a great environment. It will also bring back so many memories if you played it back when it released - Eye of the Storm might be one of my most memorable missions in gaming history. While the first installment became a classic of its time with the graphics & physics, this one did the same for me with their sound design. Definitely pick it up if you could - it's a short, but fun & packed experience. You could also wait for a sale where you can get the whole trilogy for less than $30[/...
Hate this game! Boring and repetitive as hell. Uses long checkpoint saves. Don't plan on finishing. Original Crysis was so much better.
Game is good, unless you like to do the stealth aspect. I cant tell you the amount of times i've been spotted, and am in the npc's vision, even though its a concrete wall they see me through, and i know they cant actually see me because they're all shooting at me, throwing grenades, rocket launches and none of it can hit me because its a frikkin concrete wall between me and the Line of sight. Do not attempt sneaking. npcs will see you.
Stunning visuals and intense sci-fi action that still holds up. The enhanced graphics breathe new life into a classic, making every firefight feel epic and immersive. A must-play for fans and newcomers alike.
This game aged like fine wine, it's criminally underrated. It's probably been close to 8 years since I last played this game and it held up even better than I remembered. Combat is a lot of fun, but there is a learning curve. You have to use the suit and all it's features to win. Even on normal difficulty the game can be quite challenging, but not frustrating. The guns all feel great, stealth is tricky but works well, and making Ceph explode is always satisfying. The story is good, just poorly explained especially at the start. I would say you don't have to play the first game, but it helps. And the visuals are so good, even now. There were several times I just thought "wow that looks cool". Everything is sharp, crisp, and beautiful. A breath of fresh air with all the blurry UE5 slop we get nowadays. Additionally, controller support is fantastic. It also runs great, I did max settings at 4k 60 no problem on a 3080. And also unlike modern games, it doesn't take 100+ gigs to ...
Your bugs are a hot mess. Dont buy unless its on promo. You're in stealth mode but pingers are just locked on to you and shooting at you in your direction even tho you're cloaked and behinds 2 walls. The squids just immediately stop what they're doing and just focus you even tho they are in the middle of combat with the marines. Your AI is a hot mess and this cannot be called a remaster. Just buy the original game.
Pros: excellent graphics, excellent optimization, costume modes and game pace, levels with vehicle controls Cons: even more stupid and derivative storyline, incomplete Russian localization, bugs with enemy AI, frankly weak ending Continuing my previous review of the three-part Crysis Remastered collection, I will now discuss the second part. I can't say that the game has been greatly improved compared to the original, which was already beautiful and very well optimized, unlike the first part. I remember that the main feature of the version at that time was surface tessellation — in simple terms, this means increasing the geometric complexity of surfaces, making them more detailed, rather than just a simple stretched texture. An example would be a road with deep ruts from car wheels or a brick wall with indentations. But as for the plot, it's just a bunch of crazy fun with a multi-pronged invasion of New York—it's attacked by an incurable disease, some mercenaries from private milita...
For me definetly the best game in the Crysis Trilogy -> best bought in the bundle with all 3 titles while they are in sale. Hans Zimmer also nailed the soundtrack here
Unpopular opinion: this is the best crysis, not just because of its perfect gameplay, but its incredible history which gives you all the details you need to fully understand this and the first crysis, and its also complex enough to get fully soaked on it. In my opinion, this is totally the best crysis game, and its totally worth it to give it a shot
