Great Little Horror Game! Took around 45Mins to complete. Very disturbing Game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3S0FGY0ojgM
This game has tons of atmosphere and will have you looking over your shoulders at all times. The scares are well earned, you won't be getting any cheap jumps here. Got a bit lost at one time, but that may have been my fault.
TRAFFIC is a short indie game/walking "where the hell do I go simulator" with a story about
domestic abuse, kidnapping, and a trade of some sort?
. Truth be told, this game was kind of a confusing one, I went in blind and for the most part had no idea what I was doing, and by the end of the game I still have no idea what I did. I don't even know too much of what happened, as the story is kind of muddled and the most in depth plot explanation is that: "TRAFFIC is about a family living in Wyoming as they traverse through the economic recession of 2008. You play as the single child in a family of three, along with your Mother and Father." Keep in mind that this is something you get from the steam page, otherwise this is what I got for those who care:
You live in an abusive home, you dad's a piece of s h i t and an old man he had as a guest has set his sights on your family. Your mother dies, your father tries to lock you in the shed out back only to die later...
Runs like ass
it scared me :(
i am very a feel the horror. it is make scare time for enjoy the computer
TRAFFIC is an indie horror title with a surrealist approach to telling a very dark story about a family. Visually we have a game going for the old PS1/2 style with retro graphics, that are at times somewhat unclear but mostly add to the atmosphere here pretty well. The gameplay of TRAFFIC follows a walking simulator like experience where you wander around your house, carrying out chores, watching the disturbing events of the story unfold and doing some limited key hunts. In the game you play a young boy dealing with the horrors of an abusive father, and things then begin to get far darker. The game for the most part flows well but it has a few "Where do I go" moments that interrupt things, and at one point my flashlight stopped working (not sure if intentional) leaving me stumbling in pitch black for the while but these were mostly minor annoyances. Theres also some moments where things really don't make too much sense, not even in a surrealist horror way, I "think" I got the gist ...
This was actually a great game. Not many games creep me out anymore but this one did. The story needed to be a bit more clear though. I have a no commentary play through on my channel if you are interested. Follow the link: https://youtu.be/uyO75Y5Ffw4
Despite being free now, I have a hard time recommending it. Traffic feels like there's a lot of padding and/or wonky triggers to progress the story. There were several times where I was just pacing back and forth all over the house for up to 5 minutes at a time, nothing changing with each pass until some something happened at seemingly random. And even once said something would happen, it wasn't terribly interesting or worth the annoyance that led up to it.
