Don't let the cute graphics fool you, this game is actually quite challenging! Mixing beautiful arts-and-craft graphics with cuphead style gameplay creates this wonderful little indie game. Highly recommended if you like throwing yourself at a boss 100 times and then calming down by talking to animals!

A short adventure awaits!
Waking up every day as the forest's only protector is not an easy job for anyone. Fear, escaping and destruction taint the previously peaceful life of the animals. Seemingly only one can stop this — but what can a single gnome really do to save the world?
A Most Extraordinary Gnome is a short, narrative-driven game, which combines challenging and unique 2D action with complex storytelling. You control a small gnome, who uses his hat to defeat the dangers he encounters in increasingly intense stages.

A world made out of paper
As a rare sight in gaming, the entire adventure comes alive with the help of paper. Anything you see in the game is made by hand, stacking layers of colorful paper on each other to create this flat, but heavily detailed aesthetic the game. Utilizing traditional stop-motion techniques wherever necessary, the movements also get a unique flair specific to this game.
We hope you enjoy this hand-crafted adventure!

Amazing art style + fun challenging gameplay + loads of great characters
Quick Score: 4/5 Notes: Really cool cuphead'esque mini boss rush game with a cool aesthetic and overall vibe/setting. The controller support is slightly scuffed and completely bugs out on the 3rd boss for some reason so I would just suggest using Mouse+Keyboard. There are only 4 "bosses" and the base game can be cleared by most people in probably 60-90 minutes. There are some additional post-game achievements/modes you can try out as well which offer a modest challenge and should extend your playtime a bit.
Great artwork. Custom difficulty options. Replayable for achievements. The story is a bit of a fever dream & I wish some mechanics were explained a bit better. Overall I really enjoyed it & it is priced fairly.
+The art style and animations are very charming and unique, definitely one of my main highlights of the game. - I personally didn't love the story, it feels quite unique, which is a positive, but it didn't get me to care for the main character so the ending didn't strike me as hard as it should have. - The controller support is a bit buggy as well, the 3rd boss second part was a lot harder because of it (I just ended up aiming down and timing my shots since that seemed to not bug out as often). - The music from the trailer sounded a little strange but interesting, and it seemed to fit the unique artstyle, however I didn't feel I enjoyed several of the transitions in-game and some of the creative choices. + The mechanics are very interesting and the other main selling point of the game in my opinion, also a nice variety of bosses with different challenges. Overall the game is quite innovative, so it's a nice game to get in a bundle or at a discount, but I wouldn't get it at full pr...
adorable game!! the artstyle, music and characters are so charming, and his house is so cute, i loved revisiting it to find something new each time. also i love how customizable the difficulty is!
I tried to hurry through Otho's speech :( Such a beautiful game, and the boss fights are interesting. I love throwing my hat about trying new combinations.
As already mentioned by some people, the unique and friendly paper cut-out artstyle with the cute animals doesn't really match with the (also a bit clunky) boss battles which could at least have been enhanced by some easygoing gameplay sprinkled in between. It's a bit of a shame because that surely throws off a lot of casual players who likely expect a totally different type of game.
play the game!!!! play the game !!!!!!!! why are u still here go play it! !!!! aaaaaa!!!!!!!
ime no good at rewiewing but this is good a nd cute
