About This Game

A rescue team is called out to investigate a distress signal coming from a ship identified as the MTS Endurance - a ship known to have disappeared 4 years ago on a voyage across the Atlantic. The rescue operation goes awry, and you are left stranded and alone on the derelict ship. Searching below deck you find no sign of life. The crew appears to have just vanished; replaced with eerie stone statues, but perhaps you're not as alone as you first thought. Explore the derelict ship to uncover what happened 4 years ago and what fate befell the crew.

Lazaret is a first-person horror game with light puzzle elements and an emphasis on atmosphere. You play as a lone member of a rescue crew who must complete puzzles and explore the derelict ship while trying to avoid meeting the same fate as the missing crew. Danger lurks around every corner - you must run or hide to stay alive as you learn more about the ship and what caused its mysterious disappearance 4 years ago.

An "absolute" MUST PLAY for horror fan fanatics. There is something about a ship at adds to the creep factor of giving of the perfect atmosphere for horror. This game has a really strong story, perplexing puzzles, and tons of exploration. I really enjoyed this one! Very solid horror game. I would like them to punch up the danger music during a chase. This game appreciates that some people get motion sickness and they allow you to shut off head bob and sway to minimize that.

It's an okay game. Some details bothered me but certainly not game breaking (in the intro you go down a rope from the heli with bare hands, I mean ...) The first part was pretty good and very scary, good use of sounds and amazing atmosphere, love the whistling and the subtle scares. Middle part fell a bit flat but the last part was pretty good again scare wise. Story wise it doesn't go deep into detail just the general understanding of what happened. Additional note:
I don't think I've ever felt abused in a horror game, those slaps hit hard
when you see the exact same unavoidable zero-stakes jump scare animation 6 times in half an hour, it's not scary, it's just annoying

Lots of good jump scares that make you scream. Good puzzles. You can finish the game in 2-4 hours. 7/10 overall.
