About This Game

A more detailed description that knows what you’re here to order, a complete meal of destruction and mayhem. A serving of plain R.I.C.E is here for you: dramatic, spicy storyline that takes itself too seriously? Not a pinch. A huge cast of characters who complain endlessly? We cut the fat. Simple Fast-paced combat that’s arcade gaming distilled? Now that’s a good dish.

The Repetitive Indie Combat Experience™ is everything you need at the end of the day. Sword, six-pack, and nothing but planets to turn into stardust and (most importantly) to loot.

Indeed, you read that right. You’re killing entire planets. In a typical game, you’d start by beating rats with sticks, progressing up the food chain, and only then getting wrecked by bosses after two dozen hours in. Not here. Each run means slaughtering your way through an ecosystem in a single sitting, feeding on their experience for upgrades and dopamine.

Unless you, ya know, die. Pro-Tip: Dying is bad. Don’t do death.

Why bother killing planets? Same reason you murder in any other game, to get Loot. And the very best Loot comes from destroying entire civilizations with the planets they inhabit in one fell swoop. Eliminating worlds and their defenders at a quick pace awards you with newer and even better weapons and the upgrades for them.

Another Tip: Better Loot makes for Better Killing. But of course, you knew that already didn't you?

Each run completed by Not Dying and collecting Meta-Currency™ means even more options for the next one. Every card unlocked works on every weapon, synergises upgrades to create powerful builds, and offers the metaphorical sky as the limit (until you literally blow it away with the planet it’s on). We don’t do petty balancing or tweaking single numbers here.

Repetitive Indie Combat Experience is all about distilling combat to its rawest, purest form, stripping everything that gets in the way - including limits on your ability to destroy. Nothing will stand between you and your R.I.C.E.

Final Tip: Give into your primal desire to end lives and watch numbers go up.

Really enjoyed the game. The mega man style meta-progression is probably the coolest I have seen in a game like this. I spent over an hour prepping a perfect poison, flame, and tank build. And really enjoyed this! Biggest areas of improvement - - I insta-die the moment I touch lava on the lava stage and didn't even know why I was dying the first few times. Some kind of "Killed by" or damage recap would be nice. - I couldn't figure out how to rotate pieces in the meta progression until I found a gem piece that required rotation to evade the golden line, and tried a dozen different buttons. - The amount of currency you get in an hour in endless mode with a "Delete everything" build is incomparably greater than anything else you can get ever. -"Hand size +2" should probably be a gold card instead of silver, I end up taking like 20 of these per run, it is far better than most of the silver tier since you really just want to stack gold/gem - Poison spread could also be bumped to gold -...

I enjoy the genre so it is always nice to see new takes on it. However in its current state this game does not feel fully fleshed out. Granted it is an early access title so here is hope that changes. Most of the upgrades are unclear in what they actually do and they feel very underwhelming when picked up and applied to weapons. It would be nice to get proper feedback for when guns actually crit and to see the numbers change when upgrades are applied. The out of game progression also feels very slow. Seemingly at random I got most of my actual progression currency from a single mob that exploded in that kind of currency so I really do not know how that happened but it was nice I guess. I would also like to see a wider variety of actual guns. And most importantly fix the aspect ratio and issues with UI scale. When in the pause menu my cursor was visually offset so changing around upgrades was very annoying. Later in the game the UI also breaks and you can not properly pick your upgrad...
