About This Game

In the quiet town of Morton, Louisiana, rumors of strange occurrences and incidents have been circulating among residents for years. Despite the efforts of the local police department to suppress rumors and reassure the community, rumors of the supernatural continue to spread.

When a series of mysterious deaths and disappearances occur in Morton, the police are at a loss to speculate. In desperation, they turn to Detective Thompson, an experienced investigator with a reputation for solving even the most difficult cases.

As Detective Thompson begins to look into the strange incidents in Morton, he realizes that there is more behind the incidents than meets the eye. The town hides a dark past, and something sinister operates beneath the surface of the earth.

As he delves deeper into the mystery, Detective Thompson finds himself drawn into a twisted world of horror and madness. He must confront his own demons and confront the evil lurking in Morton's shadows if he hopes to solve the case and bring peace to this troubled town.

MAIN FEATURES

A horror game about the small town of Morton with low-polygon graphics in the style of PS1.

The game has settings for colorblind people. The most common types of colorblindness are supported and you will be able to feel the colors in the game comfortably.

The game also uses the most simplified control system with controller support. For convenience, the game is already set up for optimal settings to go with the story and not have to mess around with the settings. But if you want to customize it to your liking, there are many options available to you with support for changing the control buttons to the ones you want.

No small amount of time has been devoted to sound, sound effects and intuitive sound events will add even more atmosphere and life to the small town of Morton.

There are many mysteries in and around Morton, find them, I'm sure you'll enjoy them.

I like the art direction and the mood is on point but I had a lot of technical issues that were frustrating and caused me to not finish the game. These include dialogue pop ups that didn't disappear, the screen being totally black no matter where I looked, and getting soft blocked (?I think it was more of a glitch) leaving me unable to do anything. I really like what I saw but either my rig or the game wasn't compatible or there's tech issues here that need your attention. You've got a foundation here- I'd just be wary of leaving it as is because it's not strong enough to stand on it's own. It needs support, my dude. Good luck!

This game... is abysmal. The overall setting of the game is nice. I love VHS type games. However... the character design in this game is worse than most children's drawings... the story is literally "all over the place" and makes absolutely no sense... and the game itself can be "beaten" within an hour (I put it in quotations because I don't know if you actually beat the game with as convoluted as this story is). This game isn't worth the price... this game would've received just as bad of a review from me had it been free. However... the fact that I actually paid money for this horrid thing makes me even more aggravated by it.

Man this is really good! It has some bugs right now, but they dont really seem to hamper progression or such. Im sure those will be ironed out soon enough. This is like a progression of Silent Hill-esque horror instead of a stale retread that everyone does. It does its own thing and doesnt try to be silent hill at all, but you can feel the inspiration strongly. Its done very well will very low poly retro graphics that really appeal to me. I love everything about this game. I will add to this after I complete it. Its quite a trip! 7/10 (easy 8/10 with bugs ironed out) EDIT AS OF March 14, 2023: Apparently the dev has given up hope. I feel for them and hope they continue to update the game. Its very good. Much love. Keep this in mind when buying because Im not sure if they're going to return to fix bugs. If they do, ill edit this out. Godspeed to the dev. Hope they are ok.

In this state the game has some bugs, major ones I can say. I can't move or do anything after I'm leaving table 4 so I can't progress with the game. The game also need a skip button and a button to make the text go faster. Too bad this game has day 1 problems, I really like it otherwise and was looking forward to finish it. The atmosphere is good for a pixelated PS1 style game and the way the story is being told and unfolds like an adventure is really cool. https://youtu.be/lPTVBFAL_yQ

So this game is almost an enjoyable experience, however, it is held back by many bugs which really doesn't lend well to the games "Experiment and see what happens" game play. and that's whats a shame about it, with some fixes such as fixing input so I don't have to press pause and un-pause to regain my controller input, or restarting the whole game so I can do another run. A Simple request it may be, but the request was to endure the bugs rather than anything plot related!

Please note: This game will NOT open on Mac despite what the store page says. I usually like this type of game, but I can't recommend this one. There are a couple glitches, which isn't a huge deal, but the story leaves many, many unanswered questions and doesn't make much sense overall. This is likely intentional, and the dev is probably going for a surreal narrative, but I don't think it succeeds in pulling off a satisfying surreal experience either. The dev has stated that he has lost the game and can no longer add or change anything, so the way it is now is how it will be from now on. On the bright side, it runs fine for the most part, and I didn't experience any crashes or soft locks or anything of that nature.

There is a decent game inside, however the game is clearly unfinished: lots of bugs, missing polish, crashs, barely music in it and I assume there was also more content planned at some point, but the dev already abandoned the game. At least he just deleted all the broken achievements.

i am changing my review based on my convo with the dev. they did take their time and attempt to fix the broken achievements and ended up removing them which is good. outside of that the game itself is fun and i did not encounter many issues while playing,
