Oh boy did they make some bad decisions here. The MMO aspect just wasn't anything interesting and then how they turned off the servers without leaving something on so returning players could download their saves. I just don't feel like it's worth going back and getting back to where I was (endgame if I understood it correctly).
It's not terrible but there are better games which have made more rational decisions.

Tons and tons of puzzles, really fun. It's such a unique game just in its scale. The openworld is vast, yet very detailed, but still easy to navigate with all the movement options.
Really wonder what the game felt like online though. It's great none of the puzzles [i]rely[/i] on multiplayer, but still it would be fun to have at least a co-op option, though the game still feels great in singleplayer.
Personally, the feeling of an empty server even adds to the feel, combined with the atmosphere of the game it all becomes very serene.

Did this game work back when it was made as an MMO? I have no idea. Certainly the concept of a puzzle game MMO seems harebrained. Must it have sucked to get your save file deleted when they tossed the servers? Absolutely.
But how the game is now? Excellent. There are so many puzzles it's actually obscene (like over 16,000 of them). It is a super chill time as you wander the landscape seeing a puzzle in every nook and cranny. Tons of puzzle types too, ranging from filling in grids with black/white tiles to satisfy any of dozens of different rules to perspective puzzles to finding invisible rings to navigating mazes with crystal walls.
I will put one caveat in here: if you get this game you should absolutely get the Save Stats mod and the mod that prevents puzzles from resetting. The way they programmed the game it cycles puzzles daily and after a certain period of time puzzles you have solved get reset (I guess that way you could infinitely grind puzzles for exp or whatever nons...
