Grindstone Redcircle Survivors is a survivor-like game where you will spend 100% of the time grinding and dodging red circles. It's fun at first, but quickly becomes stale as you realize the end game is just running the same content, with enemies and bosses getting more and more inflated stats. Did you think it was lot fighting a miniboss with 5,000,000 hit points? How about the same miniboss but with 100,000,000,000 hit points. And you get to fight 4 of them. In a small arena. At once. MULTIPLE TIMES DURING THE GAME. And after that, you get to fight a boss with 200,000,000,000 hit points. It's just awful. I was trying to 100% the game, but I'm just worn out. It's just a dull, never-ending grind of dodging red circles from enemies that do way too much damage. There are too few healing options and defense is pretty meaningless. I hope you are good at dodging, since that is what you do 100% of the time. I got the game for cheap and put dozens of hours into it, so I don't ...

Such a fun take on the Survivor genre, good music, good voice acting/commentary, well designed gameplay with lots of interesting build variety, lots of cool ways to gain lasting power, achievement system is actually tied into the gameplay instead of just being a checked box. And no mtx! A lot of care and attention to detail has gone into this game, with everything above, with the match review at the end, and in the profile tab with all historical matches and some interesting highlights. Also with the different game modes and curse systems to keep things interesting.
This game has a lot of systems and types of progression, but it doesn't really feel like there is all that much meaningful choice within those systems. Skills don't really feel all that different from each other and none of them really feel satisfying to use. This isn't what I would consider a bad game, but it's one that I find hard to recommend, especially when comparing to something like DRG Survivors.
Game is fun. It turns into a grind fest if you're going for all of the achievements, but what game isn't like this when it has 423 achievements (at the time of writing this). Music doesn't have much variety but for the few tracks it has, they are good. If you like these type of games, give it a try.
100/100/100 100 hours on the clock, 100% achievements, 100% fun, plenty of game modes and new content added from time to time. Would buy again and will be returning when next content is added.
It's a solid rogue-lite in many ways, particularly with many QoL features at this point in development. My biggest gripe is that all builds either fall into one of two types, and that enemies pose no real threat whatsoever apart from elites/bosses on much higher scaling. The game turns into a 'don't stand in the big red thing and you'll live no matter what' simulator. Additionally, because of the way in which mob scaling works, whilst you get more and more powerful, you don't necessarily *feel* more powerful. A common problem in rogue-lites. Overall, the game design, visuals, soundtrack, voice-overs etc are all great but are let down by the lack of variety (despite the many skills in the game) of build types & enemies being a complete joke. 7/10.
starts out pretty fun, but sooner than should be, mats you need just stop dropping... it also eventually becomes just a confused mess where it is impossible to see the areas you need to avoid.
I don't make a habit of writing reviews, but this game is a must have for anyone who enjoys RPG progression. Think Vampire Survivors with Torchlight visuals. You're rewarded for everything you do and there's an absurd amount of content for the price. If you're looking for your next obsession, this is it. Now excuse me while I go spend an unhealthy amount of time grinding.
20+ hours in, and I can't give this game a positive review. It's just in my opinion a meh game. The game really feels just like a long grind with the same exact gameplay every single game. Avoid the red areas, get levels to level up your abilities (always the same upgrades too) to get higher numbers to kill increasingly obnoxious sponges. It's even worse with visual clutter IMO, it's so high that I have to turn the FX down quite a bit which makes every run feel really similar even if I use a different character/abilities. It also feels like the skill tree don't really add much variety, sure it looks insanely complete at first but this is no PoE where you actually have depth and huge change on gameplay depending on where you went in the tree. Here 90% of the upgrades are for more basic stats (more crit, more crit damage, more area, more frequency...) which are stats you already upgrade ingame anyway, and the rest are just character gimmicks which at first make it seem like characters g...
This is successor of Vampire survivors, Soul Stone Survivors surpass all my expectations. One of the best rogue-like game in 2025.
