Exactly the kind of product I was looking for. Great way to learn to code or explore coding concepts, in an easy to understand, fun, immediate coding environment. Code, watch output and check the manual all from the comfort of the app. FREM Sprite32! is a cozy dev environment that I can see myself spending a lot of time with, just like the Commodore 64 and other BASIC computers of yore. It's a little rough around the edges, like the resolution is way off on my mac, and the some of the UI elements could use some polish (I'm looking at you Godot standard buttons).. but I can look past that because every other aspect of it is really, really good. I like this program so much, I'm thinking of using it to teach my daughter to code. I really want to start her out in a classic environment and this has just about everything I'd want (with the exception of a way to export binaries/share programs and assembly language but the Dev has said they hope to implement that at a later date and it is def...

Calling this a game is like calling a book paper. Yes, game elements exist in this title, but it is so so much more! A scripting platform that brings to the surface nostalgic C64 memories, hell this could even be a legit text editor or file manager if you wanted it to be. Bravo to the developer, this is an awesome star in a galaxy of crap!
Hello Dev, I like the concept. But on my laptop it is not possible to read the buttons at any resolution. only at borderless settings you can read them, but than the screen ist not fitting anymore. how can this pronlem be fixed? After posting this here i got a very quick respond from the developer. He helpt me to fix this problem and now everything is absolutly fine. I would like to recommend this absulut gem of a game to everybody who is interested to learn something about programming. For me this one of the best games here on steam. thanks for this
FREM Sprite32! is a fun IDE like programming language game. Its basically an IDE for the FREMScript programming language in a form of a game. It has a tutorial mode, to get used to the syntax and feel of the game and if you are familiar with actual programming languages and IDE's then this is straightforward very simple and easy. It has achievements and challenges as well to make it more of a game feel to it of course. You can write your syntax and programming in this sandbox to your heart's content and experiment. I would recommend this nice little hidden star of a game to anybody who is a programmer, or a computer enthusiast and its fairly cheap as well. Cheers to the developer for making this. Its very nice with the soothing calm ambient music as well.
Fun little programming sandbox, language is simple but rather powerful when understood, just wish there was more of a community for it.
