OUR EARLY ACCESS ROADMAP

The first major update in our Early Access Roadmap went live this June! "Sisters of the Deep" brings new enemies, new weapons, and new challenges and objectives across the Dark Forest, culminating with the game's first raid experience in the Temple of Athena! Take on the Gorgon Sisters to earn powerful weapons from the Gods that must be reforged at the new facility: Hephaestus Forge!

"Sisters of the Deep" is only the beginning of our Early Access journey!

After having prioritized the first few months of Early Access to making quality of life improvements and solidifying the foundation of our game, we're excited to continue progressing towards our 1.0 Release with new content across four more major updates.

We weighed feedback from our players with our internal goals, and we've outlined the features we plan to implement into the game before the final release. You can read that list and more information at the Dawn of Defiance website! Look for the link in the right panel.

About the Game

As you take your first steps into the afterlife, you discover the gates of the Underworld are sealed! The Gods are no longer here to protect you. You must start from nothing, arm yourself against the dangers of the isles, and break the seals of the Olympians which bar you from your eternal destiny in Elysium!

EXPLORE THE ISLES

Venture across the ruins and wilds, just beyond the gates of the Underworld. With heightened movement abilities, traverse and endure the natural challenges of coastal cliffs, foggy woods, dark caves, and blistering sands to unlock treasure and power amidst reclaimed temples.

EMPOWER YOURSELF

To fight back against the natural wildlife and fallen heroes that came before, you must grow in strength through acquired recipes and upgrades. As you claim victories across the isles, build and adorn impressive Greek structures that rival the halls of Olympus, protect yourself with customizable, crafted gear, and weld together weapons of the Gods.

DEFY THE GODS

After you have learned to survive on Veilpoint, you must seek answers across the Crossroads! In the Gods' mysterious absence from the Crossroads, their shrines are overrun by their enemies. To discover the truth and break the Olympic seals, you must venture into their domain and slay the mythic bosses within.

BAND TOGETHER

Undertake this deadly odyssey on your own, or recruit up to three friends to aid your journey at any time in online cooperative multiplayer. Divide and conquer to gather resources and claim the isles in the name of Defiance while sharing objective rewards across players, so you never miss out.

Please note: We utilize Epic Online Services for our backend to enable cross-play compatibility for those that want to play with friends regardless of where they purchased the game. This requires an installation of an EOS dependency to allow the game to communicate with backend systems. You do not need to install Epic Games Store, nor have an Epic account to play our game. If you are playing on Steam, the only data that this EOS dependency pulls from you is publicly available information related to your steam account.

Wonderfully crafted, beautiful environments with tons of atmosphere. Meadows are lush, forests are creepy and mysterious, and every biome feels truly distinct a feat not many games pull off this well. Resources are plentiful, portals help a lot with travel time, and gliding is both unique and fun to master. Combat feels responsive and enjoyable, though some enemy boss magic attacks can feel a bit awkward at first but once you learn the patterns and timings, it’s fine. Even though the game is still in development, it already feels polished enough to fully enjoy. Just focusing on the story (without too much building or grinding) gives a solid 60+ hours of content if you do all the quests and buy all items. Value & Fun: Absolutely worth every penny. A very fun and engaging experience. Huge respect to the developers tons of attention to detail, the kind of things most games get wrong, this one gets right. My Score: Personal rating: 9/10 for the devs’ hard work and visi...

This game is ass, not worth the money. Hours of glitchy, broken quests. Combat is terrible. I have tried to come back update after update but the core mechanics are not there. Save your money.

34 hrs lost to updates. Game I was excited to comeback to after a bit of updates only to find my 34 hr save file isn't compatible with the current game. If you are an early access game make it clear for the people that pay to play test your game early, know that any time spent will be lost. I would have no issue if that were the case.

It feels like they tried to copy Valheim and Enshrouded but did a poor job of it. Boring. Runs slow and graphics aren't that amazing. Flying is interesting, but it still takes forever to get back to base camp. Lots of quality of life issues that just make it annoying. Maybe once out of beta they will make enough improvements to make it worth trying again. Wanted to like it.

After giving the game awhile to update and refine itself I am very happy I gave it another shot. So far I have really enjoyed the game loop, mats are not a huge grind for me to grab, and the combat is fun. I also always really love when a game gives you difficulty sliders. I play these games solo and most of them are not made for that experience and it becomes a slog. 8/10 overall and would recommend this to anyone that enjoys Greek mythology.

This has potential, however at the moment in its current state I think it lacks luster. It lacks content and quite frankly the graphics are less than optimal. I'm a professional graphic artist and my professional opinion is that it's not well textured at all. The textures lack depth, realism, proper bumps and height maps to enhance the 3D effect and the same can be said for the environment. It's all too flat looking, furthermore ... the shadows are not realistic enough for my personal taste. The game however does have potential and since I happen to be a fan of both Greek and Roman lore/mythology I'm looking forward to seeing how this title develops with time.
