Excellent game, definitely one of my favorite MV. The game mechanic of time looping is really interesting and after you get some abilities you can even sequence break a little some timelines. The only thing i found lacking was the soundtrack variety.

Solid Metroidvania with ~20h of content. Could use some polish but is still pretty great as is. The English translation has been largely fixed and the game is understandable by now. The game itself revolves around checkpoints which progress time and change the areas based on it. You can travel back to the start or any checkpoint to try different routes.
A solid and strong recommend. First, the game itself is good, pretty good core gameplay, plenty of variety and mechanics to keep it intereseting as you play. Cutesy little art that still is somewhat seroius where it needs to be. Some nice characters and story. Some unique aproach to time looping that makes the map feel a bit like 4d chess planning out moves sometimes to complete some story bits or stuff. Most importantly it is good fun, and feels quite unique in a good way with it's core design. Now, this being said, it does feel a bit like a missed chance, like it could have been one of those super gems like Hollow Knight with some more polish, time, etc... But does still feel a bit rough around the edges, translations are as of my playthrough mostly usable, though not always quite ideal. Art is mostly ok, some great, but a few bits still stand out. As you progress various stories/quests you add "notes" that for the life of me I can't actually find anywhere in the notes part of t...
Steam Deck enjoyers: plays well, no stutters/crashes Beware of the extremely bad music here, I had to completely mute it 30 minutes into the game. It’s just fucking awful throughout. Music in games is a big deal for me, and it’s unfortunate that it’s so bad here, because otherwise this would be a great Metroidvania. As it stands, I’d say it’s just good. Also, some sound effects are either delayed or missing, which makes some actions feel less impactful The controls can be really bad sometimes, especially when you’re trying to string together abilities to reach something and it switches to the other one, so you fail. Quite annoying Other than that, the game is fun. The platforming and combat are fast, tight, and fluid, and there are a lot of ways to sequence break. It’s pure exploration, with plenty of bosses and secrets
This game has so many good and original ideas. Movement is excellent. The time loop is well-designed and doesn't waste your time (if you're worried about having to replay the same sections over and over, don't be worried). The branching paths allow both nonlinear progression but also progress ability gating. But it suffers a bit from trying to do too much. We didn't need 24 different spirits (special abilities you get by defeating bosses) or a dozen NPC minigames. That time would have been better served improving the story and translation. As-is, this game is an 8/10, but it could be a 9/10 if it had more resources to go over everything with a critical eye. I hope some MV devs with a bit more budget take a close look at this because it brings several new and interesting ideas to the table.
Snappy and responsive with lots of options for how to go about your battles. If you're struggling, I'd recommend leveling up the sword, butterfly, and rolly guy to max first. (>.> ) You'll understand as you play. I absolutely adore the soundtrack, and hope that an OST is available. There are several tracks that I will be listening to for years, especially the first tree area track and one of the flooded underground tracks, and in general the piano pieces which I'll be level with you, especially at the ending, did an excellent job at pulling out a few tears. Still kinda miffed about that. Adorable art style, plenty of MV fun to be had with a unique twist on some of your expected movement abilities. I have only one complaint about the game: they charged way too little. DEVS IF YOU ARE LISTENING THIS GAME WAS WORTH MORE MONEY, I LOVE YOUR GAME, I LOVE THE ART AND MUSIC AND I'M GONNA MISS XI AND OURO. :( Thank you for the memories!
