I really want to like this game since the core gameplay is super fun, but there's a ton of little annoyances that collectively add up to the game being extremely frustrating to play. Examples include: [list] [*] Can't see your own hit chances or your enemies' (there's a mod for this but it's retroactive) [*] Healing is extremely RNG-dependent, you can be stuck with a debilitating leg injury for 50 turns despite having the correct healing items [*] Inaccurate stats (e.g. molotovs can set you on fire 2 tiles out of their listed AoE) [*] Hard to parse mission difficulty (the difficulty rating appears to be meaningless, number and quality of enemies seems to be loosely (and i do mean loosely) related to power concentration and tech level. except i got rushed down by guys with level 4 guns when their faction was level 2 so ????????????) [*] Going between planets takes forever so you're punished by the tech curve for exploring the (admittedly very cool) solar system [*] Have to go around dis...

About the Game
Quasimorph is a mix of classic turn-based roguelike RPG with an unique extraction twist:
If you die, you lose everything you took on the mission.
If you survive, you keep everything you looted.
No exceptions. No excuses. No mercy.
Nothing in this Endless Space belongs to you.
Far into the future, the space itself is privatized. Corporations actively seize control of the Solar System and trying to extend their reach far beyond its boundaries. It will be up to you to uncover the truth and the unforgivable things humanity has committed in the deep, dark depths of space
Level the playing field. At any cost.
Become the boss of your own Private Military Company: carry out orders from corporations, earn reputation with your blood and sweat. Explore planetary bases, secret labs, and wreckage of spaceships to find new technologies, abilities, and other items that will help you level the playing field during operations.

Overcome, adapt and become better.
Remember that you have an advantage: clone the best employees and send them to certain death to probe the weaknesses of your opponents. There is no need to risk valuable human assets and expose your PMC to unnecessary legal risks, but nobody cares about the fate of a clones.
Unravel the mystery of Quasimorphosis.
A strange disease is spreading on space stations. Crew members are getting sick with an unknown fever, and the rifts are opening the way to demons from Bramphatur to our dimension. Find out the dark secret behind this threat to all life and pile up the bodies of your clones to overcome anyone standing in your way.
Don't bury yourself under crossfire.
Corporations hire ruthless mercenaries to carry out their shadow operations. Demons distort human nature and pervert human evolution. Gather a team of professionals, count your ammo, and keep track of your equipment to be prepared for any perversions of this space slaughter.

Dont be like me. Don't start the game on hard because you think you like a challenge. Normal is a challenge. Normal is plenty hard. The Game is amazing.
The learning curve demands blood but once your debt is settled it's a fantastic game made with love
Quasimorph is a very difficult game I almost got filtered on my first 6 hours, then everything just "clicks" The inconsistent gunplay, stances, the injury system, the quasimorph...uhh...thing, space economy, supply and demand, destroying communism party in favor of capitalism party to rise up only to back stab them later for high tier loot? it just make sense This game has helped me managing my stress while I'm writing my thesis. (I'm almost bald) Truly a wonderful game ear piercing metal disassembling sounds/10
Absolutely one of the best metal albums to ever have been released. There's even a game that comes with it too!
this is the real russian dev game just because the dev doesn't want to improve ai you get to deal with constant zerg rushing your position as a main difficulty of the game which turns every mission into defend mission and how do they make it even more difficult to deal with in the latest patch? your gun falls apart after discharging 20 whole times; watch some retard redditor tell you to prepare better and bring a wholeass gunsmith kit on a mission
The gameplay loop is addictive, but you won't feel like you wasted your time when you stop playing. The music is an endless collection of bangers that scale in intensity with the danger of the gameplay itself. It is a very unique game. It is frustrating in the right way, it'll likely keep you coming for more, and it will be immensely satisfactory when you feel yourself overcoming the challenges you used to find impossible. I hated the aesthetics when I began playing, but they grew on me and now I think they're an inseparable and bespoke part of the charm of the game. Give it a try if you like tactical combat games! There's nothing quite like it
This is a cool game, and theres a LOT of potential depth, but the early game just... sucks. Expect to get one shot killed or stunlocked constantly - you can easily play for 6-8 hours while making virtually no headway in progression or story. It's fun, and theres a lot of really cool systems in place, but you'll probably never get to see them until you're like 20+ hours in. The community mostly offers advice in the form of "just get better", while the gameplay itself almost constantly amounts to "if you get hit once, you'll probably be stunlocked to death instantly" Getting one shot killed by a guy walking in from offscreen is extremely common, as is random bullets taking off body parts and leaving you to slowly bleed to death, unable to complete the mission or evacuate. Maybe the game gets good once you get past the early game wall, but it is a hell of a wall.
Great roguelike with a cool setting and a lot of replayability. Not out of early access yet, but quite a coherent game with a lot of content, and the devs are pretty reliable with their development schedule. The pitch is a sci-fi roguelike extraction shooter with lovecraftian elements. There's systems that arent complete yet but its probably the best price per hours game ive ever bought and i will look forwards to intermittently returning to Quasimorph for many years to come.
