First 'Yakuza' game I've played. I was never bothered by the gangster aspect, but having spent time with one of the characters from that series in this great game , I may go and say hello now. I read about a few mods, added some non-game changing visual ones, stuck it on normal, did about 70% of the things on the map and was never bored. I really enjoyed the main story alongside a very fun group of characters, and undertook some truly odd side quests. No bugs, no crashes. Looks great in 4K and plays flawlessly Ultra 120fps. Movement maybe a little too 'Console game' feely on PC for some but I had a blast with a standard XBox controller. I will now go and play the sequel which I have heard is much better mechanically, but for me (Maybe as I'm new to the series game format), this was a very pleasant surprise. Absolutely recommended.

Judgment really feels like the first of the Dragon Engine games to get things right, though it took me a bit to realize that at first. Like Yakuza 0 before it, this thing starts slow – and its first few chapters take quite a while to start picking up steam. Before even getting into what the game does best, what I noticed first and foremost about this game is how much better the combat feels here than it does in either of Yakuza 6 or Kiwami 2. While, in those games, Kazuma Kiryu felt weighed down by the transition from the Kiwami Engine, here Takayuki Yagami—our intrepid detective protagonist—is unfettered by such baggage as he unleashes his styles of self-taught martial arts on the lowlives plaguing Kamurocho. Unfortunately, however, I only ever used one of those styles extensively over the course of my playthrough; Tiger style always felt much more effective than Crane. But, as previously alluded to, what Judgment truly does best is ev...

Overall Grade: 9.4/10 Amazing game. this is the first action game that I played that made me cry multiple times because the story is deep and rich. Story-wise, I enjoyed it and really loved how immersive it was. The story showed illustrates how good intentions paves the away for evil especially with Yoji Shono and all antagonists in the story. It made me realized that the issue is never having good intentions but not letting your integrity be damaged by caving to any proposal because you have a good heart or you want to be empathetic due to past experiences. the revolving theme of the story is that evil lies within good intentions. There was no plot holes like you see in modern games today made by many major companies like EA or To build a rocket boy that create gimmicks and call it games. The side content especially friend events. there is one with Kim where every time you're in a mission, he calls you to help him and it is a constant problem because at first it sounds like a honorab...

Judgment is a great spin-off of the Yakuza series. Mechanically, it’s like the other Yakuza games, but with a standalone story in the same universe. The main premise is that you’re playing as Yagami, a private detective, trying to uncover the truth behind a series of murders. It takes place in Kamurocho, the staple location of the Yakuza series, a fictional Tokyo district. Now, I have to be honest. I’d played all Yakuza games up until Judgment was released, and I wasn’t impressed at first. Many people say that Judgment is as good as Yakuza 0, but that simply isn’t the case. There’s a decent amount of side content, typical of the Yakuza series, but I didn’t find it great. The minigame selection is good (no karaoke though), but the side cases were average. Some were pretty good though. These are complemented with a friends mechanic, which makes the city feel more organic. But they’re basically like side cases—most are average, with a few that stand out. The combat i...
