Every room is dark, and tiles only appear when touched by you. Finding all the light blocks returns light to the room permanently, and finding more light blocks within a room increasing your jump height, allowing for more exploration without cheapening future puzzles. Exploration is non-linear in most sections and you'll stumble across multiple upgrades, like teleportation. Everything culminates in a boss fight, that unfortunately isn't as well implemented as it could be, as it's not actually beatable when you first encounter it. However, the warning to tell you this is easily missed and doesn't repeat after the first time, which resulted in my wasting nearly an hour trying to beat an unbeatable boss. That...
