A really enjoyable game with cool puzzles

A fun step above a point-and-click adventure game. Unfortunately, I'm unsure I can continue playing because it constantly crashes my computer. I've tried multiple fixes and it still crashes my entire PC. Kind of glad it was only $1.99 when I bought it, otherwise I'd ask for a refund.

So may years later, it is still a truly magnificent game!

Something's missing An exhausting game with awful pacing. Some of the puzzles are quite frustrating. Interactions are slightly too clunky, like the annoying delay after you solve a puzzle. You will spend far too much time looking for objects or just struggling to figure out what the game wants you to do. Do not think I would have made it through this one without a walkthrough. I much prefer Crime & Punishment, which I think improves upon this game in every way. Toby thankfully makes an appearance :) Yay dog

It took me 6 years to finish this game. The corrupted save bug caused the game to crash every couple minutes and prevent progress. Maybe it was the patch in 2023, or maybe it was the fourth computer I tried it on, but I can say finally - the game is pretty enjoyable. I haven’t played many puzzle games, but I think the ones included in this game were decent. Generally fun to solve, and some thinking required. I occasionally got stuck trying to find where to go next or where a clue was located because my mouse was a couple pixels off of where it should be, but overall it did not ruin the experience. Character wise, I don’t really like how Watson was portrayed in the game. I don’t remember him being so whiny in the books, as it makes him come off as less intelligent and more immature. Though I think Holmes’s portrayal is done well. I’m relieved to have finally finished it. I hope if you choose to buy you don’t suffer from the same bug.
