Like Golden Axe but better. Though in 2025 describing Golden Axe as a not as good Castle Crashers would make more sense. Played this with my four and six year olds. They are very excited for the new DLC. Behemoth seem like a real standup group. Normally I get grossed out by applying interpersonal feelings to commercial entities, even those conducting creative pursuits. But for these guys, it's different.
Pandora's Box has been Opened upon Castle Crashers, Artistic works from Professional to Amateur will be crawling out of the wood works unleashing an Forbidden Evil upon this land. And I'm Apart of it.
one of if not THE best game i have ever played in my entire life, the dlc is amazing and is very affordable i highly recommend it
This game was already fun before the Painter's Paradise DLC released, but now its just got like 10x better! My only complaint with it is that they can't change the arms and legs of the knights, but other than that I love how goofy it can make the overall experience of the game or even cooler depending on what you're looking for! 9/10
I loved the art-style, red-green running crusader loading screen was funny, too, again, the art looks dope! But that is it. This game was sitting in my Library for 10 years, recently I started completing indie/small games in my Library, and finally decided to start this, because I can't play something that has got so much hype, so that is what I waited this long. But it seems to me that all the hype comes from people who played it in 2008-2009 originally, and almost never played anything else. Yes, it is beat'em up type of game, but that doesn't mean it is automatically the best. I mean, there are people who call this a masterpiece and all, I just couldn't enjoy this. And it is not a skill issue, beat'em ups should be hard, I grew up with games like TMNT, METAL SLIUG, and etc. I know what hard game looks like, this is not one of them, as much as the fans try to make it one, it is not. Spamming the same move (juggling) whole game just to beat it is just a cheap gameplay mechanic, a poor...
Horrible input lag on MP with no way to fix it. Play on console.
Playing solo it is a fun game punctured by stupid and frustrating difficulty spikes that turn it into a slog. The new Painter DLC certainly adds some life to it, and it may shine multiplayer with friends, but solo it is a tad more sour than sweet.
I recommend this game to anyone who likes knights and 2d games. Best in co-op with friends.
castle crashers is a super fun game to play with friends. one of the things i love the most is that i play as the pink knight, and my weapon is a lollipop! its both hilarious and awesome at the same time. the game has a simple but charming art style, lots of fun enemies, and some really cool boss fights
