This game will always be special for me. I first played it as a kid at friends house, many interesting moments. I would later get it for the original Xbox but I was just a child so it was too hard for me. Later, at university (2019) I completed it on Steam and loved it. In 2025 I played it again and it was just as good as I remember. Fable aged very well in my opinion. The graphics whilst dated are stylised and overall don't look too shabby. But its the combat and the power fantasy aspect of this game that I think most gamers will still enjoy. Fable is very linear game where you are given what is essentially a fantasy world superhero / supervillain to make your own through both regular gameplay as well as quest-based decisions. Want to run through the game killing everyone in your path? Sure! Want to be a nicer chap and save everyone? Go ahead! Want to mess about and have fun by killing the villagers, marrying multiple people, & renting out properties only to slaughter them in their ...

Awesome game with the AEON edition however no set interval for autosave has cost me over 20 hours of progress and also F@CK THE FISHING MINIGAME it just cost me my mouse.
Play the Remaster if you're looking for controller support or modern optimization. Still an amazing game, but a bit dated.
The music in this game is bloody enchanting.
I can finally beat my dad
Classic RPG game that I used to play as a child. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.
When the Nostalgia is right.
this is an odd port of a fantastic game, I say odd because for a game that was originally designed to be played with a controller coming out with no controller support, it's a touch odd however it is the best way to play the original Fable on PC in 2025 with the original visuals, anniversary does change the way the game looks, this version does not, however this also doesn't have controller support native, pick your poison, or buy an xbox and play it on that, seemingly this is the only way to throw money at Fable at the minute so go for it
Fable: The Lost Chapters is a legendary action RPG that expanded on the original Fable released in 2004, offering new quests, regions, items, and an epilogue that sought to fulfill more of the ambitious vision Peter Molyneux and Lionhead Studios originally promised. Set in the richly imagined world of Albion, the game follows the life of a hero—from a tragic childhood to becoming a celebrated (or feared) legend. The game’s strength lies in its blend of whimsical British charm, morally driven choices, and a world that, though not vast by modern standards, feels immersive, stylized, and alive. The game begins with your character as a young boy in the village of Oakvale, witnessing a devastating attack that sets the stage for his journey. As the story progresses, you are trained at the Hero’s Guild and eventually set loose upon Albion, where your choices begin to shape not only the world around you but also your hero’s appearance, abilities, and reputation. One of the core featur...
