When I finished this game I stopped judging videogames base on their metacritic score and reviews. I played it as a child at 10yo and a few months ago I found it on steam and... it's a hidden gem. I'm sorry if I'm about to offend someone but I played A LOT OF games and I put it ONLY one level below Red Dead Redemption and The Last Of Us. It sounds crazy ik, is just a proof that you should NEVER trust the reviews, even if it has 70% of negative reviews you may enjoy it a lot anyway

Honestly this game was slept on. For 2012 the game is amazing. It was considered a commercial failure in America however I think it was due to lack of promotion and media around it. The mechanics are fun and the story is interesting. The game features pretty thick military humor and for vets it is a great experience. I give it a 11/10 for this gem. Get the controller schemes working and go enjoy this piece.

Hidden gem of RGG Studio. Has some rough edges, but overall very much a product of the Yakuza 3-5 era. Has all the seriousness and goofiness of a mainline Yakuza game, but with no side quests to delegate the insanity. Excellent game.

Generic protagonist, somewhat predictable story, & mostly bad VO work, but OH MAN DID I HAVE A GREAT TIME! BD is like a big dumb summer action movie with fun characters & decently fun shooting. GET IT!

Most fucked up controller settings/port, everything is broken and modding scene is almost non existent to fix any of these issues.

Absolute B Tier in the most loving way possible. Its always the ambitious games that fall short of greatness but oh boy do we love them for trying. Binary Domain has great gameplay supplemented by a cheesy action story with deeper tones underneath. Its funny to think this was released 13 years ago because the story is so relevant nowadays. How do we define life? Its a great game that does what it needs to and doesn't overstay its welcome. The setting gives me Final Fantasy Midgar vibes, a PS1 Megacity kinda feeling with a soundtrack that sounds like something from the OG unreal tournament dark techno you know? I highly recommended this game for people that love ambitious yet cheesy titles and want a short game to kill over a weekend.

A great 3rd person shooter by the Sega Yakuza team, has a lot of the same tongue and cheek writing that makes those games have so much personality. packed like a sardine can with boss fights, insane set pieces and set at a breakneck speed. Pick it up when its on sale and you wont be disappointed

Awesome shooter, solid and intriguing story, great levels, cool arsenal with an upgrade system, very good length, and it's all at a very reasonable price with frequent sales. I wholeheartedly recommend this lesser known gem! My reviews tend to be longer but there isn't much to say for this one. It's everything I could have possibly wanted out of a shooter. The singular negative aspect is the fact the game's voice-recognition system doesn't always work and the text choices offered as an alternative can be a bit wonky in some dialogue options, but that is 100% forgiveable given everything else is awesome. 10/10
