Concealed, just like its predecessor "Ghost in the Pool", offers lovely potential in terms of concept and presentation, but tends to fail in the writing department unfortunately. The suspense and horror moments are truly great, the art is very immersive and captures the grotesque vibes perfectly. Also in general, the manga artstyle creates a memorable atmosphere, I like it a lot! However the ratio of those intense moments to normal slice-of-life is quite dysbalanced, in my opinion. Most of the plot shows basic high school life, but in a rather odd way. It feels like the writers have never interacted with high schoolers before, as most of the characters behave like young middle schoolers at most, and even then many have very comical personalities and drop references to random literature pieces every two minutes.
