About This Game

WELCOME TO DRACOFIGHTER

In a futuristic world led by dragons, Draco stands above everyone else as the most powerful being on Earth, but contenders have risen up to defeat him!

DracoFighter is a solo-developed 2D fighting game with a focus on accessibility and local multiplayer, with movesets that are easy to learn but harder to master. The game has no complex inputs, no special cancels, a simple juggle system that restricts long combos, and straightforward fighting mechanics, making it perfect for fighting game newcomers! Each character is original and hand-animated from scratch, with unique movesets and personalities explored through both the story and gameplay.

Game Modes

 • Story Mode - Learn about each of the 4 main characters and put together the mystery of the time machine!
 • VS Mode - Battle a friend or a CPU in a classic 1v1 match
 • Survival Mode - Fight an endless number of enemies on a single health bar!
 • Combo Trials - Challenge yourself with personalized character combo trials
 • Practice Mode - View the frame data of your moves on hit and on block while practicing combos on a dummy
 • Divekick Mode - Use Draco's divekick to reenact one of the greatest fighting games ever created

Gameplay Features

 • Easy Controls - 2 buttons and directions are all you need to access your character's whole moveset
 • Unique Movesets - Every character has a unique personality with different strengths and weaknesses that define them
 • Simple Combo System - Juggle opponents in the air with short, simple combos that can be adapted based on the situation
 • Local Multiplayer - Play against a friend on the same keyboard, with custom keybinding available. Controller support is also included!

A very cute but fierce fighting game that's all about those adorable dragons you will love! DracoFighter is a simple fighting game that tells the story of a Dragon who seeks for more of a challenge since he was known as the strongest on Earth. He wonders about the past life of the planet if there were any other creatures that are also as strong or even stronger than him, but to find that out, he would need a time machine. Sounds simple enough right? Well, not exactly. He suddenly gets interrupted by various creatures from getting is hands on that machine. He'll have to fight his way through to succeed. While your story and gameplay are very basic, that's also what makes it more accessible and fun. That's the thing some people in the FGC do not understand. Fighting games don't have to have complex inputs just to feel unique. Why? Take a look at Super Smash Bros., from what this game took inspiration from. In Smash, you have characters doing different moves from different time frames ev...

there is a shower stage. I have played every single fighting game made before this. some come close, there are bathroom stages, but none are directly in the showers. I can finally live my fantasy of Spyro tickling crash until he pees his pants, abnd NOW that fantasy is not gross because OF the SHOWERR stage good EVO 2023 Dracofighter on the main stage top 8 all sets played on the shower stage or else

I'm a noob at this kinda game bc I've never played them before, but I like the characters they're cool and funny! We need more cool dragon games like this on steam!! So this goes as one of my fav games on steam because of the main characters that are dragons! I tested the remote play with two people, one who lives far away from me and one who lives close. The person far away played with the controller said there was about 1/4 delay (by feel) for them and that menus felt like they took a bit to open (I should note my internet may've been acting up a bit here but I'm not 100% sure). The person close to me said that there was a small bit of delay overall but fine to play with and that it's the best you can expect from remote play. Also to note that the controller player is always player 1 (pretty sure?). I'll have to see how the survival mode is like a bit more and play some more via remote play, since for just going through the story modes it's pretty quick, but the remote play is fun an...
Adorable fighting game
The two hours I spent with this were more fun and engaging than 40 with DNF Duel. Unfortunately no online multiplayer, so my adventure ends here due to no IRL friends... Looking forward to the sequel that will have online play! The game has a simple rock/paper/scissors approach that's easy to learn, but hard to master. If I could have one criticism of the game, it's that there's no knockdown/grounded state. This means there's no breathing room after being hit (or hitting) with a combo, the fight continues instantly. It would be nice to have half a second of pause between engages to let you think about your next move. On the technical side, I wasn't able to find a way to make the game full screen. That's something I would've liked. Maximizing the window was the best I could do. If you're like me and have no idea how to access *secret characters*: use the "throw" button on the character select screen to be able to pick them. Would suggest sticking to t...

I'm very new to fighting games in terms of committing to competing, but I have a lot of casual experience under my belt and think that the developer's objective here is true. If I introduced this to my wife, it would be an easy introduction into the fighting world. Maybe an hour of "training" here before moving on to her preferred game. Art style is simple and clean and cute, the story for each character is hilarious and there's even a fun divekick mode. I played every single mode except survival and the whole package comes together really well that I think even kids could pick up on move sets.

Pros: simple, has some dept, likable characters, meets minimum requirements for fighting game plus some, beautiful art style, nothing non-fighting game people cant understand, no overloaded story/kits. cons: a little too simple, not many sounds other than that hard READY , no jumping, or low attacks, or traditional fighting game inputs (quarter circles, dragon punch, e.t.c.), guides are a little unclear, no potemken (/j) Dracofighter is one basic game for those who just want a cute game about dragons beating each other to hell. It works better then expected, and it does have that aspect of fighting games. It just seems a little too basic. not being able to jump or crouch feels hindering, and one direction, one button special controls confused me the first time. but all in all, I would play again after an update or 4. style: 8/10 gameplay: 6.5/10 story and characters: 7.5/10 total: 7/10 its good, and still has potential.

A fun game, but needs some improvements like full screen and online multi player. Overall: 4/5 I like it

Not a ton of replayability if you don't have someone to play against, but still fun. Each of the characters does feel like they have a different strategy, and their moves are telegraphed well due to the cartoony art-style. It was easy to get swept in and breeze through each of the very cute and short story modes. The controls are super simple: forward, backward, special, attack, and grab. So it's really easy to learn combos to use but could prove harder to master. I'm admittedly not very well-versed in fighting games because my vision makes it harder to read tells and respond in time, but this is a game I feel like I could learn to do so with. If I come back to it with a friend, I'll probably main either Plexi or Cyrus, because their skillsets apply to me and I enjoy their character designs and lore. Really though, we do need more fun and accessible dragon games like this!
