I bought this game because I liked Scorn, but after playing it, it would be a disservice to call Necrophosis a "Scorn clone". Like Scorn, Necrophosis is less of a "game" game and more of an "interactive art gallery" game, with delightfully gnarly environmental and character art, a bunch of symbolism and metaphor, immaculate atmosphere and vibes, and simple "puzzle"-based gameplay. The protagonist even looks a lot like Scornguy. But unlike Scorn, Necrophosis has a much clearer stories, lore details are explained in lore collectibles, there are a lot of NPCs who talk to you (like fully voiced and everything), and there's no combat whatsoever. Where Scorn is a desperate struggle for survival in a hostile post-apocalypse, Necrophosis is a contemplative trek through a thoroughly miserable but mostly harmless wasteland. This game is basically a glorified showcase of the developer's 3D skills, and boy does it show. The 3D art is just breathtaking. The vibes, immaculate. Besides th...

i like this type of game like scorn violent and grotesque
Great visuals and lore, a little too linear with not much to it mechanically. Overall, great experience for those who enjoy Zdzislaw Beksinski's art style and stories of primordial beings. For me the price is right, $16 gets you great visuals, good story, and a few hours of entertainment.
stuck in eternal dreamless unrest
Reminds me of Scorn. Needs more work though.
it started off really meh like, but then it got good. rather enjoyed it. visuals were fantastic, maybe bit too much for lesser PCs, good thing i got huge upgrade. some of the "puzzles" were where do i go or what do i do next, but not enough to get annoying or google answers, like other games i had to. BUT, in saying that, they werent really puzzles, hense the "quotes". loved the grotesqueness and eeriness. though, could be more eerie and unnerving, a lot of it was almost comforting, haha. the demon lady was beautiful!
Good 👍🏻
Extremely linear, despite attempts at being deep. Necrophosis is a very simple puzzle solver game (mostly process of elimination stuff) at the heart of a spooky dystopia full of ugly, grotesque but nearly always harmless monsters, that spout the sort of angst ridden pseudo-intellectual gothic teen poetry. The art style is extremely derivative and the game play amounts to "What if Scorn had a lower visual effects budget, but more intuitive puzzles"
Very beautiful artwork in this one!! I really enjoyed this puzzle game, if you liked Myst, Riven, or Scorn and are a fan of Lovecraft or Giger, then you will enjoy this game as a relaxing visual experience in the realm of Cosmic Horror with a Gnostic flare.
