It would be a great idea to allow individuals to sell their unwanted items at the store. When considering the historical context, it seems improbable that settlers would enter a shop only to hear, "Unfortunately, we don't buy any items from you, but we invite you to spend all your hard-earned money here." This response feels far from realistic, as it overlooks the fundamental concept of trade and community support that would have been vital for survival during those times. In reality, settlers likely relied on a more reciprocal relationship with local merchants, where selling, bartering, and exchanging goods was common practice. Implementing a system where people could sell their unused or surplus items would not only enhance the authenticity of the setting but also reflect the way communities thrived through mutual support and commerce. I doubt you guys will update the game to reflect this, but I still thought I should point this flaw out.

This game is perfect for people who have never played a video game before, have no desire to play another one, and just enjoy randomly clicking a mouse for a few hours for no apparent reason. This is an over-priced, hot POS. I waited way too long to get a refund, but even though I got it on sale, it was still overpriced. Every move is a crap shoot--you have no control, and your only option is to watch things unfold. The boredom and stupidity are mind blowing, but not in a good way.
The Oregon Trail is supposed to be a relatively simple game. This rendition incorporates an overly complex menu system, and way too many loading screens. Adding or removing items at the store was not intuitive. I went to quit, but couldn't figure out how to do that. Ended up alt-tabbing, and killing the process. I'll try it again later, but if you're looking for a simple, relaxing experience where you might get dysentery on the trail, this isn't the game.
I'm not quite sure how to feel about Oregon Trail, but here is what I think after playing the game for a while. In general, I'd say it is a positive experience, having your party made up of 4 people with different skills and traits to help them reach Oregon before winter arrives. First try ended with my party dying of dysentery, which was really a mess, and every time one of them catches it now, I hope I got enough medicine to cure them before the entire gang suffers from it. Eventually, it worked out, and I got a party of three to reach their destination. From that point on, you can do the journey over again with different wagons, kits, and unlockable classes for your characters, and also journeys that add spice to the regular gameplay with more challenges. Here is the big negative point that I saw others mentioning. Having to re-arrange the goods of the wagon once it gets damaged and slips from it. Nothing is more annoying than having to do that over and over again. I at first tho...
its ok but not for full price if you want to get it i have one work SALE
Nostalgia to a tee, this has been a blast to replay! It has other add-on trails and campaigns as well. A lot of content for the price. Highly recommend.
Very fun and easy to get engrossed in
Died of dysentery in 3D. What's not to love about this classic?
I would recommend The Oregon Trail to anyone who likes a rpg mixed with interest of playing a historical aspect of a game. While it does take a while for the game to progress, it is worth it for the scenery provided within the game. I would not recommend if you cannot stand seeing many repeated actions, events, and play through. Overall 7.5/10
