About This Game

“We boil at different degrees” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Originally released in 2005, Boiling Point: Road to Hell is back. Revisit this early pioneer in the open-world roleplaying FPS genre. Upon finding out his daughter has been kidnapped in the pseudo-South American country of Realia, Saul Myers, a veteran of the French Foreign Legion, must head to Realia on a rescue mission. Saul must navigate through the Realian Valley; a region full of tropical jungles, farms, villages, and estates. Saul now has to manage to make his way through the landscape while navigating through dicey situations with corrupt politicians and criminal organizations to find his daughter’s whereabouts.

Manage your reputation. While there are no immediate enemies in the game, it is all in how you play. While the natural habitat of Realia can be dangerous, being home to snakes and large predators, there are six factions for Saul to try to satisfy. While these relationships begin neutral, completing missions can raise or lower your reputation with the Realian government, guerrillas, the mafia, native tribes, bandit groups, and even the CIA. But be careful, creating allies can lead to unrest and enemies elsewhere.

  • Create your own fate in an immense world
  • Over 240 sq. miles (450 km^2) - affected by every decision and action
  • Drive trucks and tanks; pilot helicopters, planes, and boats
  • Select an arsenal of upgradeable firepower
  • Align with or oppose police, guerillas, South American Mafia, CIA, and more

I played this game when I was a child in a cyber cafe. I had so much fun playing this game because of the atmosphere, and funny bugs. I'm glad the bugs are still here, just there's no funny screaming civilians... Gameplay: 10/10 Graphics: Who cares? Story: 8.4/10 Fun: 10/10 "I am CELESTYN and I recommend this game." Boiling Point: Road to Hell is an ambitious and sprawling open-world first-person shooter RPG developed by Deep Shadows, which first released in the mid-2000s and later found its way onto Steam. Despite being somewhat overshadowed by more polished titles in the genre, it offers a unique and chaotic experience that blends open-ended gameplay, narrative complexity, and a distinctive atmospheric setting. While rough around the edges, it’s a game that appeals to players seeking a deep sandbox full of exploration, freedom, and moral ambiguity. Set in a fictional South American republic torn apart by conflict, corruption, and drug cartels, Boiling Point throws players into the role of Saul Myers, a mercenary tasked with uncovering the truth behind his brother’s disappearance. The narrative is rich with political intrigue, faction rivalries, and a cast of morally gray characters that offer multiple missions, alliances, and side quests. What stands out is the sheer scope of the game world...

A true hidden gem. One of the best games I have ever played. The random details in this game make it really impressive especially for a small Ukranian studio in 2005. Definitely recommend if you are a fan of far cry 2, stalker and new vegas. As for bug fixes just get the unofficial patch.
