I got every achievement in this game in 12 hours over the span of 5 playthroughs. This is one of my favorite games from my childhood but the remaster is NOT worth $30 considering it is missing multiplayer. The game is short and definitely needs the multiplayer component to justify the price tag.

I am one of the few who enjoyed Turok 3 more than the predecessor. I particularly enjoy the atmosphere in the dystopian future setting, which was mindblowing back in the day on the N64. It is also much more straightforward and the opposite to the endless mazes and switch-hunting in Turok 2. The devs at Nightdive also did an incredible job with this one since there was only the N64 version before this release and I'm pretty sure they had to reverse engineer a lot to get it running on PC. Big thank you for releasing this amazing update of one of my favorite N64 games.
Thank you Nightdive. Extreme-G next, please.
Well... I'm glad it was so short.
The game is bad, but Nightdive did a well job with this one. Here's the dilemma, should I recommend a bad game, just because it's a good port? The campaign is short, but you can play it two times with small differences between the characters, like height and one unique weapon each. I would say even the 14€ something I paid were too much for this game, I would wait for it to be even cheaper. I guess for 5 bucks I would recommend it, full price not so much. [Steam Deck: Absolutely verified, runs smooth with high graphic settings.] Time to finish: ~3,5 hours
Even though I didn't play the third part back then and the nostalgia factor doesn't kick in for me here, I still think this is the best part. The gameplay and gunplay just work better. The story is damn short, and the devs wanted to compensate for that by letting you play with different characters whose paths and weapons differ slightly. In my opinion, that didn't work quite as well, but to be honest, I preferred a short, crisp campaign anyway.
Another great remaster by Nightdive. Looks and plays great with plenty of options to customize the experience. The original game itself isn't necessarily winning any awards but this is certainly the best way to experience it.
A very good remaster for a bad game, and painfully short when compared to Turok 1 and 2. ridiculous pricing.
Imo - this is superior to both Turok 1 and 2 :) It distillates and refines all the good gameplay mechanics from the series, and serves them to you in easily digestible form, without the tedium of circling around in endless mazes known from previous games. Imo, it's a change for the better, as I never found getting lost in huge labyrinths of same-y looking corridors to be particularly enjoyable. The level design here is influenced by 2 styles - the early fps maze-like layouts similar to 1st Turok, and the more linear, scripted designs popularized after the first Half-life. I think they knew that the old-school maze-y design style doesn't cut it anymore, and decided to go with more straight forward, linear style (rightly so)... but at the same time wanted to retain the series' identity. They wanted it to look familiar to the old fans, they wanted it to be instantly recognizable just form screenshots. And while I think It works for this game - it's a weird mix :) The ...
This game has the opposite problem of turok 2 where it is way too linear to be a turok game. They removed the annoying objecitves but they also removed the fun key hunting. Still a good game though it just feels more like half-life than turok.
