Runs fine on modern hardware and I have experienced no crashes or glitches and yes I'm running it at 60fps because literally any old game is gonna freak when you're at 800+ fps you maniacs.

Can't believe Cyberpunk 2077 copied the malaria mechanic and "terrorist in your head" from this game (I recommend installing the "Realism+ Redux" mod if you want to run this game properly)
Been playing Far Cry games since i was kid, hundreds of hours. Few Far Cry's even hit thousands of hours. And gotta tell, this is probably the biggest vibe. I normally don't enjoy old games, but this is SO beautiful and cool. And even tho its so old, it still looks soooo good for such old game. I understand very well these people who say this is their favorite Far Cry game. IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!
Ubisoft has the worst customer support. It's time to stop supporting companies that don't respect where their money is coming from. Enjoy the negative review.
I hate this game. I get that all those game design decisions were made to show the futility and misery of such a conflict, but it's just not entertaining. The missions are lacking in variety and creativity. It's always the same; go to point A, get a call from buddy and go to B to do their chore and make the mission last longer, then go to C and kill/destroy that target. All of this while being constantly hunted by enemies NPCs. You can't even drive 100m without needing to exit your vehicle, kill your bullies and fix your car. On paper, the idea is interesting, but in reality it's boring.
Far Cry 3 lets you do fun things that you will never experience in real life. Far Cry 2 makes you experience things that you wish would never happen to anybody. One of the best shooters and games overall that I have played. It is an acquired taste, but it is definitely worthwhile checking out. Install Redux mod if playing on newer hardware, as it will help fix some technical issues that come up. If that doesn't help, check PCGamingWiki, as it has a section for every common issue you may come across. Keep in mind, this game is pushing 17 years old at this point.
This has to be one of the most boring game experiences I've ever had. The 'characters' were designed very superficially and only to present the moral ambiguity present in the political environment, but that's where it stops. They have no depth otherwise, and it's impossible to care about a single one of them, even the character you play. The premise of this story has so much potential to be rich and engaging, but is hamstrung by tedious and predictable development and dialogue that will all but put you to sleep thanks to the aforementioned 'characters' attempting fruitlessly to bring it to life. So since the characters and story are awful, you would think at least the gameplay would deliver. You would be wrong. The game sends you across the entire map for nearly every objective, forcing you to navigate through the same few roads and infinitely respawning checkpoints full of glitchy NPCs that are either completely clueless or are literal gods with the ability to see through walls an...
Obnoxious enemy camp respawning.. if you go away like 50m from a camp after clearing it, the enemies will respawn and shoot at you if you come closer, and as if it wasnt enough, the enemies will come after you in a fucking car with a machinegun... man, its this hell for every enemy camp in the game...
Doesn't respect your time. If you die midway through a mission, it sends you all the way back to your last save. Not last checkpoint, last save. As if its a survival horror game or some shish. Too much walking from point A to point B all while get shot by literally every npc you come across. No wildlife. Malaria is a constant barrier for fun. Weapons are constantly breaking like your playing the masters quest of breath of the wild. Weapons jam up way too often. EVERYTHING IS BROWN! Sometimes, even the water is brown. Brown walls, brown dirt, brown bushes, brown guns. The game that a horrible brown and/or piss colored filter. Finding mods to correct that is a requirement! The faction system is kinda cool but everyone talks so gone darn fast that I can't even understand who's a good guy and who's a bad guy. Coupled with the fact that the voice volume is so ridiculously low that playing with subtitles is a requirement! I couldn't find a mod that fixes that. Overall, I would never recommen...
stuck on first room after intro - pick up guns and syrette and still no way to advance. have changed the "E" action to lower case and even restarted. a shame. :(
