Never before have i been this conflicted about a product i'd bought. I bought this game expecting to never play it because i just intended to support the LGBTQ+ neurodivergent developer i've heard about 6 years ago on ghostbusters forums. This game seems to have been in the works for quite some time. After the release of the elusive Ahack Adventure 1, which was subsequently banned in 42 states and 3 other countries including Australia, my hopes for the sequel as a game were pretty low to say the least. Just for laughs, i decided to run it anyways, seeing how there couldn't possibly be any harm to it if i just indulged the developer for 5 minutes or so - and was immediately surprised as i found out this game actually has working mechanics, progression and pace this time around. The graphics are rudimentary but nonetheless they do their job flawlessly, letting you differentiate between all the elements present on screen - something not all indie devs figured out how to do to this day, ...

About This Game
Ahack Adventure 2 doesn't hold your hand and will require you to think for yourself. However, unlike many of its inspirations, AA2 does not require a walkthrough to finish, with the level and world design silently teaching the player basic concepts they need in order to finish the game.
Key gameplay features:
-Nine dungeons of increasing complexity that expand on the mechanics of the dungeons before it
-A mostly nonlinear overworld to explore, with over a third of all screens containing some hidden secret
-Ten playable Ahacks, each with their own abilities. Use a sword beam, throw grenades, walk on water, become ethereal, and more
-Three difficulty modes to suit your preference, plus a fourth Nightmare difficulty which is hidden to ensure you don't choose it by accident
-No boring tutorials or interstitial narrative, the game pits you right into the action
-Nine unique and challenging boss fights, one at the end of every dungeon
-A generous save system to ensure you don't lose half an hour of progress from one minor mistake

User Reviews
The controls and UI are terrible: - I'm forced to use WASD+SPACE+X, rather than arrows+Z+X. - The title screen is weird and makes it easy to delete your file. - Movement is finicky. Pits have a weirdly large hitbox. - Such lack of polish that stuff feels weird, e.g. pits appear to have knockback instead of being something you fall into. Also, enemy movement is just as annoyingly random as in original Zelda.
this is bullshit the dungeon 5 clone boss can move diagonally and i cant whose clone is he
