Its cool game. Really. Funny, nice style, etc. Sooo why negative? Just cos of stupid softlock in the middle of the game: DON'T TRY TO RETURN TO RED PART OF MAP FROM THE PINK ONE!!!! And there is only 2 solutions^ 1. U r lucky, as drunk leprechaun, and U instantly recognized softlock and have backup save files not corrupted by running between two save points in attempts to get out of that sh!t 2. New game There is bunch of threads in game community about that dаmn part. Developers still don't give any fcuk. So be it. Go to hell

Got permanently softlocked... there needs to be a button to reset yourself when softlock happens. I was enjoying the game, so if they update it with the fix I can change my review.

Very buggy. If you use teleport, you get stuck very often. Just one savegame backwards, is not enough...

This has been a fun and relaxing experience so far. To me, it's like the devs thought: "what if we make a Metroid-influenced game that's more of a cute, low-stakes adventure with less mandatory backtracking and constant enemy threats?" If you're looking for an action-packed challenge, look elsewhere. If you appreciate well-designed platformers that won't leave you frustrated, then you'll love Genopanic.

Game was awesome and gorgeous at the start, and the characters are pretty cute. The comments from NPC's and other instructions are funny, and it plays pretty well. However, the game has a couple of game-breaking soft-lock areas, where you can just accidentally lock yourself out of playing the game, and there's no way to backtrack in certain areas. You just have to restart your save. I would recommend the game except for this, because it really does ruin an awesome game for me.

I was on the fence whether to upvote or downvote the game because you could pass no-return areas without realizing it. Beat the game twice and still accidentally trapped myself in the end both times. However, they recently added the pneumatubes to fix this, and it was my only complaint, so I appreciate it. It sounds like there are still some bugs with it - maybe add a "return to last pneumatube" in the menu? There might still be unintended consequences, but I imagine it would fix softlocks and make people less angry, haha. Thanks for your efforts, devs.

I’ve never left a negative review before, but like several others, I became soft locked several hours into my game. The developer has thus far not responded to concerns even in the bug reports on discord, and as such, my otherwise positive experience has been soured. I will change my review when this is fixed if I happen to still be watching for updates, but if not, I can’t recommend Genopanic.

This a fun but unfortunately(for those who are enjoying it as much I was) short game. I had honestly bought this on sale for a few dollars because of the metroidvania listing and the fact that the art look cute. I stayed for a fun game and lots of traversal. I wish it has some more length to it because some of my favorite games are metroidvania sine SOFT days in PlayStation 1. I have played majority of the ones that I have found available in steam. This game is a good game but buy it when it is on sale for a few dollars just due to it's length. It may not feel worth it as much due to the shorter nature of the game at full price. Still recommended especially if you like the genre.
