About This Game

Nothing beats the thrill of a deep strategy board game session with friends, and with Nexus 5X, you can play not one, but several sessions during an evening where “One More Turn” becomes “One More Game.”
Nexus 5X is a multiplayer turn-based 4X clash for galactic dominance, played from start to finish in about an hour!

Choose from unique factions and leaders and play alone or in turn-based multiplayer with 2-8 players. Play with friends or brave the Nexus online in skill-based matchmaking. Form unlikely alliances, execute bitter betrayals, or quietly plot from the shadows to ascend victorious to the Galactic Throne, all in around 60 minutes.

Starting from the safe haven of their home world, players can rapidly expand their reach across the galaxy to explore and occupy new systems, eventually taking control of the throne-world of Nexus. Military conflict and diplomatic dealings are available as players expand and explore, but so is the power struggle that plays out in the Galactic Council, as rival empires exert their influence to cast votes in favour of new titles and resolutions, aiming to empower their faction or advance their immediate strategic objectives.

For role-players who want to immerse themselves in the lore-rich Stellaris universe, or for ‘by-the-numbers’ strategists, select from factions and leaders that alter the approach of each match, offering a range of playstyles and ways to gain the upper-hand over their opponents.

A very fun and streamlined 5X experience. Everything from the resources to the RNG elements are finely tuned. I thought my 5X days were behind me, but now I find myself excitedly waiting for the weekend to test my skills with some multiplayer action. These devs blew me away with their first game, Trials of Fire, and this game proves that they're onto something. I can't wait for their next release!
Great party game.
Awesome ! I'm shocked I only found out it existed now. Great design, super polished, everything feels amazing.
I am glad to have found this gem. It's midway between a complex boardgame and a really involved 4X and I believe there is a lot of market for this. Others here are complaining about all the things they game could be, but for the low price, I am amazed by what it is. You also get the joy of discovery because there is no meta-game guides around (a weird way to find something positiv in the fact that this game is not well known). Also, the 11 or so different factions feel interesting and encourage diverse playstyles. I love to chill on the Steam Deck with this game, even tho it is not optimized. With Steam Deck Optimization, maybe a bit better art work and a bit more learning resources (tech tree map for example) this would be 10/10. As it stands, it is still a 10/10 because of the price.
A great little 4X-Game. You've got your typical space empire simulation with star systems on a board-game-esque grid. You develop planets, research technology, build ships, conquer neighbours or trade with them. To win you fullfill the requirements of global challenges that all players vote on during the galactic council every 8 rounds. It is really quick and a game with humans should not take you much longer than an hour. Games against A.I. I finish much quicker. 10/10 would get eaten by void creatures again.
Shoulda called it Nexus 5Xus
a light wieght 4x fun for the whole familiy!
