Game is rather slow at times even on 1.5x speed and you can't skip anything else you could probably easily complete the game within 2-3 hours :/ There is absolutely 0 tactics involved .... at the beginning the blood types (rock paper scisor) make it feel like there is but the characters get overpowered so easily that almost all of my crew insta kills every opponent (even the boss) even if they are at a disatvantage Often enough when fights start it takes all 10+ characters 3-4 turns till you finally meet each other to fight .... wtf ? there isn't even any strategical impact or anything you just move as straight to the opponent as possible :/ Visualls are nice if you like that style and the fight animations aren't bad either but nothing super special ... Another thing, as a Japanese Language Student I was hoping to play with Japanese text but the font is sooooo bad I can't read anything and sadly no furigana not even for the less common Kanji so yeah had to change it to English whic...

An enjoyable tactical RPG with an interesting setting and likable characters, slightly let down by the uneven storytelling and game pacing. If you enjoyed the Final Fantasy Tactics games, you'll feel right at home with this one. If I had only one request, it would be the option to skip opening level cut scenes, or at the very least speed up the dialogue options. Having to grind by simply replaying previous fights gets a little tiresome - it would be preferable to have some randomly-generated lower level fights with less prestigious gangs/schools for experience, instead of just employing the exact same strategy against the same enemies for the purpose of earning experience/currency. Also, while there is a nice variety of characters to select from your party, some are just....let's be kind and say, "underutilized by default." Overall, it's a good time if you don't go into it expecting too much. The base price is perfectably acceptable, and if you find it on sale, it's an even bette...

While I got this game on sale for $13 and absolutely loving the general aesthetics and gameplay, there isn't enough here to keep me playing. The characters are all one note, and team size restricts me from using 3/4ths the cast to better enjoy their one note, the story is mostly miss with things just kind of happening around the main character instead of them having any actual decision or choice made, and the "blood square," while neat in concept is underwhelming and only serves to restrict your team building choices further. All in while this game is impressive to look at, and fun for the first hour or so, there isn't anything different o0r substantial enough to make me return to play this once more.
