About This Game

The Backrooms Deeper is a game that touches on the entire spectrum of emotions. Fear, joy, happiness, calm, dread, frustration, elation and sadness. The game is extremely difficult at times. You will die a lot. While at the same time it is partially a calm walking simulator.

"It's been three years since Caleb no-clipped into the Backrooms. Three torturous, horrific and mournful years. He would be 8 years old by now. His mother left me a year ago because of my obsession with finding a way into the Backrooms. I couldn't no-clip in the park where Caleb did when we were playing that day. It seems the entrances move. Pop in and out of existence. Evaporate here and then condensate there. I've found a way now though. I believe I've found a way now. This letter is my last communication with this world before I enter, and I'm not coming out until I find Caleb. I'm exhilirated and beyond excited for my journey; I am afraid but that won't stop me. Nothing could be worse than what I've gone through. I'm going in with a video camera and that is all. And I will be coming out with Caleb... no matter how long it takes."

Time is irrelevant. Death is just a restart. Experience is a lesson.

In The Backrooms: Deeper you have one chance to find your son Caleb. Not to fear though, as due to the supernatural properties of The Backrooms you are ressurrected every time after death. Keep a keen eye out for subtleties in the rooms, the walls, and the landscape. There are things to learn. Hints and easter eggs everywhere. Each detail will help you inch closer to finding Caleb. There are no health potions (almond water) no weapons, no inventory at all except your camera, your infinite stamina and your wits. Your character doesn't level up, but more to the point - you do. Even through the repetition of navigating the twelve levels of The Backrooms you will learn. The walls speak. And maybe if you listen close enough, you can even hear Caleb, helping you along the way so that you can both escape the backrooms and end this everlasting loop. Then again, maybe it's all just your sanity dripping away.

Great concept, poor execution, many visuals glitches where materials don't lign up making a visible ligne in the walls, A lot of issues with enemy placement, ... The first levels: the ghost/glitches? they sometimes don't start walking and instead stands in the hallway, blocking your way and softlocking the game, second level: the canibals? where they sometimes spawn in the kitchen, making you unable to go through and continue the path, meaning only death awaits you and not to mention the nonsensical no-clip you have to do through a door that is closed with no visual queue telling you, you can no-clip there. third level: no directions on where to go, you sometimes meet invisible walls for no reasons, and the biggest issue i had was next to the spiral stairs in one of the two tunnels there was a hole which simply makes you fall out of the map (i doubt it was intended as it leads nowhere) forth level: so short it might as well be considered a room, nothing happens and you can't expl...

Runs as a solid 6 FPS in level 0 of the story on lowest settings, but 60 FPS accessing level 0 from the hub with highest settings. Story mode is broken. Too many visual glitches, like random jutting textures, blemishes, unrealistic post effects, and many more. shaking camera is very off putting to the whole experience (especially when jumping), couldn't recommend in its current state for free, let alone £8.50. However, level ideas are intriguing and promising, with wacky and weird backroom levels ranging from a level made up entirely of circuit boards to a subway style level. The game has a high amount of potential and is worth viewing after every major update.

What should be contrite in this first-world horror genre is forgiven for its self-referential standpoint and beautiful renderings.

Step into a world of enigmatic intrigue and immersive terror with "Backrooms Deeper," a groundbreaking game that plunges players into the depths of the mythical and fantastical back rooms. Seamlessly blending atmospheric exploration, intense survival mechanics, and a captivating narrative, this game is an exemplary showcase of meticulous game development and design. The developers have masterfully crafted an expansive and procedurally generated labyrinth, showcasing their technical prowess and attention to detail. The dynamically generated back rooms provide a sense of endless exploration, ensuring each playthrough delivers a unique and unpredictable experience. The environmental design, with its eerily mundane yellowish hues, fluorescent lighting, and omnipresent buzzing, sets the perfect tone of foreboding unease. The game's mechanics exhibit remarkable depth and complexity, bolstering the sense of challenge and urgency. Players must carefully manage resources, navigate treacherous c...

The screenshots and videos on the page might be deceitful. I saw nothing resembling what is shown there and aimlessly got stuck in an arcade level no bigger than 2 meters square, no way to leaves besides resenting the entire game or Alt+F4 Even for early access, very barebones experience. Maybe with time, but for now, non recommended... If you want a extended list of Backrooms and Liminal games, just press the link below: https://youtu.be/LEEZRjRHADs
